31- wound licker

"Mind if we sit here?" A rushed voice brought M/n abruptly from his thoughts.

Glancing up he saw Ashido Mina with an armful of snacks and drinks, Yaoyorozo was waving shyly beside her.

"Sure," he nodded and pushed down the folding seat for her while Yowyow took the seat beside her. "But only if you plan on sharing that popcorn." Mina hesitated, not sure if she was willing to share her kernels.

"Bruh, come on, I've barely eaten!" The pink-tinted girl whined, still practically squatting over the seat.

Glancing into the box of sweet treats, M/n noticed a lot of kernels remained un-popped and would most likely crack a tooth.
"I can help with those," he insisted, "sit down." Yanking her down she let out a guffaw as she emptied a handful of hardened corns into his palm.

Not paying any mind the older Bakugou shifted his palm in a flat clockwise motion, skin glowing a faint yellow. Cupping his other hand over them he shook like he were rolling dice, and there in his hands was a steaming pile of popcorn.

"It's so refreshing to see-" a polite Momo inquired, who had looked over Mina's shoulder to watch, "-your quirk that could cause so much damage can do nice, simple things too. It's very cute." She chuckled.

Endeared by her words M/n chuckled and handed them to Mina who began skewering them on his spiky hair.

"Sho, how should Uwawaka win shish fight?" Ashido asked with a mouthful of snacks.

"I can only forsee one option for her." M/n admitted, rubbing the nape of his neck while Denki behind him took the popcorn from his hair and began eating it,
"In close combat, Tiny has barely any openings. With more movement, there's more sweat, inevitably making his explosions stronger.

He can manoeuvre in the air with precise blasts. But if Uraraka can use her quirk on him first and make him float, she'd have the upper hand. The only thing she can do is a swift attack."

"Goodness, you know his strategies like the back of your hand." Momo fanned herself, sitting so close to M/n and his above-average body temperature was difficult under the immense sunshine. Or was it his arms and scowl on display? Either one made her flush.

"Well," M/n chuckled after swatting away a pouting Denki, "I've been fighting him an awful long time; it'd be stupid not to know about the person who made me stronger."

Uraraka was off by a millisecond, unable to stretch her fingerrips out first and avoid his right swing.

M/n grit his teeth as the first explosion went, as it was the first of many.

His brother's opponent was smart however, and made her jacket float, tricking Bakugou into exploding that too. Finally she had a chance at a back-attack.

Go on, go on, go on M/n chanted.

He threw her back with another right swing, her opportunity missed. Box of popcorn clenched in agony between Mina's knees as she realised what Uraraka would receive in this match. No mercy.

Again and again she was blown back like a ragdoll, swept away by a blast of smoke and blitz of fire. She was panting and close to the ground, scraping the concrete with her toes and finger nails.

Some were watching between the gaps of their fingers, Mina's sweets disregarded as she could only stare with an open mouth. It reminded her of that phrase about a car crash- you want to look away, but you can't. You really can't.

It seemed for many, though, to have gone too far, and they began to holler their concern and berate M/n's twin.

"Just send her out of bounds already!"
