4 years ago, Hosu, Ishikawa Prefecture, April 17th3 days before the twins' twelfth birthday
The city was beautiful. It had all the effects of the modern age- sleek towers full of glass that reflected the shifting clouds, and little people behind the glass typing away at their little desks.
A city once green had transformed almost overnight with the presence of april, and with it brought a tsunami of pink petals that allured to the pleasure and romance one might hope to find in the spring.
Cherry blossoms had arrived like a bouquet from heaven; not even the smog and blaring horns of traffic could distract from the wonder of it all.
M/n decided heaven was wherever the cherry blossoms bloomed. His heaven would be a place spring stretched on forever, kept his youth bright and kept this light feeling in his heart at the sight of his mother's smile.
With handbag on one shoulder, Mitsuki Bakugou hitched up her skirt and ushered her young boys off of the crowded subway.
The train wished away behind them like a shoal of silver fish, leaving the family's hair to waft in the breeze, and an awe overtook the boys' faces at the site of the city before them, stretching on for miles and miles.
"Hurry up, mom! Look! This place's huuuuge!" M/n looked back at his family as he skipped up the steps from the grimy underground to the breathtaking landscape.
"Slow down, honey! You'll break a leg!" Mitsuki nudged her youngest in the small of his back, and came to stand beside her boy who was beaming so bright. "And nobody wants broken bones on their birthday, hmm?"
"No, momma." M/n giggled as she bent down and kissed his temple, then began cleaning up his appearance, sweeping hair across his forehead before kissing him again. She couldn't resist.
"Yeah," Katsuki grumbled, kicking a loose piece of pavement and scuffing his shoes, "don't wanna be like stupid Deku."
"Katsuki." their mother whacked him on the back of the head, causing M/n to stifle a laugh behind his hand. As his brother whipped to glare at him, M/n gave a smug shrug. "Stop playing favourites, hag."
She raised her palm again but he shied away from it. "I love you both equally, but I do have a little pride that M/n is so much more mature than you. Come along, doves." Behind her back, M/n stuck out his tongue, causing Kat to screech.

As they sat in a cute cafe wedged in the high-street, Mitsuki swirled her straw around in her drink, taking little sips while eyeing her boys. They were stuffing their face with macarons whilst gaping out the window, the outside world simply striking them with such pure curiosity.
Masaru usually took the boys to the wilderness, immersing them in nature trails and jumping on logs across rivers. Katsuki had grown fond of the climbs and hikes that tested his endurance, usually running ahead and leaving his patrons behind, huffing and panting.
Masaru's own father had often taken him out on trips like that, the old man worked himself to the bone, but he craved bonding with his son and the two would camp and enjoy the splendid wonders that the lush forests and mountains of Japan could offer.
He wanted his sons to have the same connection. He knew they were fiery, right down to the core, but in peaceful wakes they could emerge, he hoped, as calm, level-headed men.
Mitsuki was a fashionista, a diva. City life and fast cars were her thing. Sure she didn't mind viewing nature, if it were tucked behind glass and didn't smell atrocious.
