Madelyns pov
The past 3 weeks have been tough on us all but especially Ellie and Cooper. Ellie was going to Coopers house today, she was still quite fragile so I was driving her. "You ready to leave?" I say, knocking on her door. She opens it and nods her head, "cute outfit" I say which puts a smile on her face and give her a hug. "How are you feeling?" I ask her and she shrugs, "Same as always I suppose" she says and we head to the car.

"Call me when you want picked up or if you don't feel good, I love you" I say as I pull up to the Pate's driveway. "I love you, thank you" she says and gets out. I feel so overprotective over Ellie recently and I feel as though I have to protect her from all bad things in the world.

Ellies pov
"Hey Els" Jen says as she answers the door. "Cooper and Lilah are picking food up but they won't be long, come in" she says and hugs me as soon as I walk in. Her and Jonas were just like my second parents. "How you holding up, Kiddo?" Jonas says, hugging me. I haven't saw him for a few weeks. "I've been better but it's getting easier each day" I tell them, honestly. I was getting better, the bad thoughts stopped I guess. It started off with me wanting to leave and go join her but after talking to Mom and my therapist, I realised I want to live life to the fullest for Renee.

"El? You good?" Jonas says. "Shit, yeah just thinking" I say and smile. "We are proud of you, for keeping a smile on your face sweetheart" Jen says. "Thank you, I really do love you all" I say truthfully.

"We're home bitches" I hear Lilah shout and she runs over to me, squashing me in a hug. "Elssss" she says happily. "I've missed you" I tell her, Lilah was filming a tv show in New York and only returned a few weeks ago when everything went down so I haven't saw her much since.

"How are you Coop?" I ask him, he's been quieter since the whole situation. "I'm fine but the most important thing is how you're doing" he tells me. "Well you'll be happy to know I'm truly feeling better today" I tell him, honestly.

The next few hours was spent just relaxing and playing family games with the Pate's, it felt like life was getting back to normal a little bit.

We are going out on the boat with
Madison, Mariah and Izzy so we will pick you
up in an hour :)

Once I got picked up, I was welcomed by a very cuddly Liv. "I've just missed your cuddles" she says cutely. "I promise you can have unlimited cuddles allllll night" I say and she smiles. When we got on the boat, we were met with Madison, Mariah and Izzy who ran straight to Izzy. "Why can't you give me a baby brother Mom" Finn says, annoyed. "It doesn't work like that but nice try" Dad says, ruffling his hair.

"I'm excited to see the sunset" Addie says to me. "It will be so pretty" I tell her. "Just like you" she says and my heart melts. "Aw thank you bubba, you're the cutest" I say. "Will you come swimming with me El?" Izzy asks. "Aw I'm sorry Iz, I don't have my bikini" I tell her truthfully. "Uncle Chase will though" I say and she cheers and runs over to him laughing.

When we stopped the boat in a quiet area for the younger ones to swim, Liv came and sat next to me instead. "Why aren't you swimming?" I ask her, she loved the ocean. "I would rather spend time with you" she says resting her head on my shoulder. "But you love swimming" I tell her. "I love you too" she says. "If you wanna go swimming, I promise I'll spend time with you all night, we can have a sleepover... just me and you" I tell her and she sits up and looks at me. "Really? You promise?" She asks and I nod and hold my pinky finger out, "Pinky promise" I say and she says, "I love you" and jumps into the oceans to join Dad, Mariah, Izzy and her siblings.
