Chapter 76

Two months later
Madelyns pov
We've filming for a while now, it was going great and I love being back. However, recently I haven't been feeling good in the mornings. Chase keeps telling me to take a pregnancy test but I'm more bothered about focusing on work, I'm too busy to take one right now.

"Been sick, again?" Chase asks as I leave the bathroom and I nod. "Mads, please just take one" he says and I just sigh. "I will after work tonight" I say finally giving in. "Thank you" he says, hugging me from behind. "I love you" he says and I kiss him, "I love you more" I say before we get in the car and drive to work.

As soon as we arrive, Ellie walked over to us. She spent the past few days with Cooper and I was convinced she was avoiding us but Chase said I'm overthinking. "You good?" I ask Ellie who was sat opposite me. She just nods her head and continues scrolling through Instagram on her phone. "Are you coming home tonight - we miss you" I say and she nod quietly. "Liv has begged me to" she says quietly and I laugh, of course she did.

"Maddie and Chase to set please" Jonas yells and I join Chase on set. The next few hours we film our scenes. "I've got some to shoot, JD said he will drop me off home" Ellie says before we leave and I nod. "Next stop, Walgreens for you" Chase says and I just sigh. I wouldn't even mind another baby, In fact I would actually love it. It's just the pregnancy I don't wanna go through again.

Once we picked up a Walgreens test and arrived home, we went to the bathroom to do it. "Stay" I say, holding Chase's hand. Seconds later I done it so we were now waiting for the results. "You know, a boy might be good for Finn. He's stuck with all girls" Chase says and I agree. "Addie wants another sister though but I wouldn't mind another boy" I say. "No matter what this result says, I'll be by your side. If you have to go through pregnancy again, I won't leave you at all, I'll help you as best as I can throughout it all" Chase says and it makes me smile. We turned our heads towards the test as it made a noise, signifying the results were ready. "Ready?" I say, hands shaking and Chase nods. We turn it over together.

Positive

"Oh my god, we're having another one" I say, my fears and worries disappearing. I couldn't stop smiling and I had tears in my eyes. Tears of joy, of course. So did Chase. "There's gonna be another Stokes" He says, kissing me and hugging me. "I know you can do it, you're amazing" He tells me and I smile. "When will we tell the kid?" I say. "Well you're about 2 months pregnant, right?" He asks and I nod. "Well we could tell them soon but it's up to you" he adds. "I think we should tell them this week, they'll be excited and I don't know how long I'll be able to keep it secret" I say laughing. "It's perfect time for work too. You won't be showing too much and we finish filming when you're around 6 months" Chase says and I nod.

"MOM" I hear Ellie screaming. I could instantly tell from her voice she was crying. "I'll go see her, stay here" I say to Chase. I rush to find her and when I do, she's got tears streaming down her face. "Woah, what's up Els?" I ask, placing my hands on her shoulders. She just shakes her head and throws her bag on the bed. "I can't, Mom" she keeps repeating, " You can't what?" I say, confused. "I fucked up" she says. "Talk to mw, you know I'll not get mad" I say and she picks her bag up. She unzips her backpacks and pulls out a pregnancy test. She hands it to me and I read it, it's positive.

"You don't want to be pregnant?" I ask. She shrugs. "But last time ended up badly, I can't do that again" she says. It was awful last time and I couldn't near to see her so upset again. "Would you like a baby though?" I ask and she hesitantly nods. "I mean I think me and Cooper could manage, we are 19 and by the time it's born I'll be 20" she says. I just clicked that we are both pregnant and our babies would grow up together.

"Have you been crying?" She asks and I nod. "Why?" She asks. "I'll tell you after you talk me through what you're feeling" I say. "I'm nervous it'll happen again. I got attached to Renee last time and I lost her. What if I lose this one?" She asks. "I can't promise you it won't happen. There's always a chance to any of us. But what I can say is that you're more likely to have a successful pregnancy this time" I say and she nods. "I mean, I would like a kid" she says laughing. "Does Cooper know?" I ask and she nods. "I was worried I was the last few days. I've been feeling sick, I'm the mornings and I've missed my period. That's why I didn't want to come home. I don't know why but I just wanted to be with Coop. I took it with him there, he was so happy Mom" She tells me and I can imagine Cooper getting happy over this.

"So you're keeping it?" I ask after talking to her a bit longer. "Yeah. I'm scared but promise me you'll be there with me?" She asks. "I promise" I say. Little does she know, we will both be going through it all together. "How far along?" I ask her and when she replies with, "2 months" is when I smile harder. We really are in it together and she was about to find out very soon.

"So why were you crying?" She asks. "Let me get something, wait here" I say and she nods confused. I run back to my bathroom where I'm met with Chase. "Is she okay?" He says and I nod. "She'll tell you soon" I say and grab the pregnancy test. "I'm telling her by the way. I wish you could come and see but you'll understand later" I say and Chase looks even more confused but says, "Okay".

"I'm back" I say, sitting opposite Ellie. I pull my test out of my hoodie pocket and hand her it. I watch as her mouth drops and she hugs me. "How far along?" She asks me. "2 months. We are in it together, Els" I say and she hugs me. "I love you, Mom" she says and I kiss her forehead. "I love you more, bubs" I reply. "Dad is going to have a hard life with two pregnant women in the house at once" I say laughing. "Sorry, I was walking upstairs and I kinda heard the last sentence" Chase says, shyly. Me and Els just laugh. "You okay with telling him?" I whisper to Els and she nods immediately.

"I'm pregnant, Dad" Ellie says and I see Chase smile. "That's great, sweetheart. Is this what you wanted?" He asks, hugging Ellie. "It was unplanned but sure, why not" she says laughing. "We are both 8 weeks" I tell Chase and he smiles. "I'm glad you have a professional to help you through it" Chase says, nudging me. "But you will have double the emotions, morning sickness and hormones" I remind him and he rolls his eyes. "Fuck that, Cooper's moving in with us whether he likes it or not" he says laughing which makes us all laugh.
