Chase Stokes and his girlfriend, Madelyn Cline are in Charleston filming season two of Outer Banks. What happens when something happens to his younger sister, Ellie.
Ellies pov Today was the day me and Mom would tell everyone we were both pregnant, nobody else knew besides Cooper and Dad. I was so nervous but I know how supportive everyone is so I know I shouldn't be worried. We were planning to tell them at a beach party we had planned to watch the sunset.
Once it got to the party time, I couldn't stop my knee from bouncing up and down. "Hey, don't worry" Mom says. "In it together, remember?" She says and I nod, hugging into her side. "You both doing good?" Dad asks and me and Mom nod. I was so nervous. "Can we just hurry up and tell them, I'm so fucking nervous" I say to Mom who nods. When everyone arrive me and Mom stood up at the front, greeting everyone.
"So none of you really know why you're here tonight and me and Els are about to tell you" Mom says, holding my hand. "Announce it together?" She whispers and I nod. "We're pregnant" we say at the same time and everyone cheers and smiles. After they all shouted congratulations, me and Mom hugged each other. "See, I told you it would be okay" she says. "You're always right" I say and she laughs. "That's what Moms are for" she says and I hug Cooper as Mom hugs Dad.
I walk over to Madison, who had tears of joy streaming down her cheeks. She opens her arms ready to hug me. "I'm proud of you, baby" she says. "What for?" I ask confused. "Pulling through everything" she says and I smile. "I love you Madison" I say hugging her. "It's Auntie Madison" Olivia points out and we all just laugh.
"Little Stokes, you've make us all proud recently" Rudy says to me, high fiving me. "Honestly, you're amazing Els" JD adds and I hug him. "Thank you guys. I really love y'all" I say to them all.
"No alcohol for you for a while" Dad says and I jokingly roll my eyes. "Shut up"I say and push him away. "Hey don't do that to your old man" he says. After we laugh it off, I drag him by his hand to follow me. I drag him outside, where we can see the stars. "Can I ask you something?" I ask and Dad nods. "Do you think she'll be proud of me?"I say looking up to the stars, referring of our biological Mom. Even though Chase was born my brother, he's now my Dad. I often still think of my biological Mom and Dad, even though he wasn't the nicest.
"Of course she is, Els. I can promise you she is" He tells, putting his arm over my shoulder. "I've never told you this because I never wanted to upset you, but now feels like the right time" Dad says and I look at him confused as to what he was going to say. "After Moms accident, she was stable for a day or so. I didn't leave her side the entire time. We didn't tell you at this point and for 5 year old you to see her in the state she was in wouldn't of been good. Anyways, I sat by her side since the moment we got the call she was in a serious car crash until the doctors forced me to leave, after she had passed" Dad says and I can tell he's getting upset so I rest my head on his shoulder.
"She told me she knew Dad wasn't a good person. He was horrible to her, he was abusive to her" he tells me and my heart drops, I never knew this. "What?" I say surprised. "He done the same to Mom as he did to you" He adds. "I didn't know until she told me the day before we lost her. As well as that, she told me I had to protect you. Especially as you got older because she was afraid he would do the same to you" He says. "I failed her, Els. I broke the promise and I got carried away with living out my dream life. I wasn't there to protect you from him. I fucking promised her, Ellie and I didn't do it. It was the last thing I said to her" Dad says, breaking down in tears.
"Hey, Dad. Please don't cry" I say, hating seeing him like this. It was so unexpected, I didn't know any of this. "Her exact words were "Chase will you promise me you'll protect your little sister from your Dad. He's not a good person and I can't have him hurting Els. She's too precious and I can't protect her anymore. Please Chase, as she grows up be by her side. She needs you" And you know what I said?" He says and I shake. "I said "Of course I will, Mom. I promise you" Those were my exact words and I failed her" he says, still in tears.
"But you did protect me Dad. You've protected me in so many ways" I start. "If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't of gotten out of the abuse. If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't of even been here. You showed me what a true Dad is, you've shown me what it's like to be loved by a Dad" I say, honestly. "You didn't fail Mom. You did the opposite. You couldn't of protected me any more" I say. "What about those few years when I was too busy to even visit you?" Dad says. "You were living your dream life. I managed. All that matters is that we're here now, together and safe. You protected me, Dad. You always have" I say, hugging him.
"You really think so?" He asks. "I know so" I reply and he smiles. "I'll protect you forever, I promise" he says and I wipe his tears away with my sleeve. "I love you, Dad" I say and he tells me he loves me too. "What're you two up to out here?" Mom says and we turn around. She looks concerned as she sees both of us have teary eyes. "Just having an emotional talk" Dad says. "I took a photo of you two, it was too cute to not to" Mom says showing us. It was pretty cute.
