Chapter 78

Chases pov
We finished filming for a few months before we started back up due to the pregnancies. Madelyn and Ellie are due any second now so it's just time to wait.

"Mads, where are you?" I yell, I haven't saw her in a while. "In our bedroom" she replies. When I walk into our bedroom, I see her looking into the mirror with a frown on her face. "You're unhappy, talk to me" i say and she just looks over to me and sighs. "I look so ugly Chase" she says.

"Don't say that! You're the most beautiful woman I know" I tell her, honestly. "Look how fat I am though" she says, despite being 9 months pregnant. "Mads, you're carrying our baby boy who's going to be here any day now. Of course you're going to have a big bump. But I still think it's beautiful" I say and she smiles.

"Cuddles?" She says and I open my arms, ready for her to cuddle into me. "I'm so lucky to have you" she whispers into my chest. "I'm even luckier to have you, you're amazing Mads" I tell her, kissing her head. "I wanna hot bath, my back is killing me" she says. I place my hands on her back, rubbing it to try and soothe it. "Sit down on the bed, I'll go run the bath for you" I told her and do as I said.

I place bubbles in the hot bath and make sure there's a hot towel for her when she's done. Once everything was sorted, I headed back to Madelyn. "It's ready for you" I say and help her up. "Thank you so much" she says, kissing me gently. "I'll leave you to it" I say, getting ready to leave her in private. "Chase, stay" she says and grabs my hand. "You sure?" I ask and she nods. "I would say you can come in but you'll not fit with this massive belly of mine" she says laughing. I help Mads into the bath, worried she'll slip and fall but thankfully she doesn't.

I just sit down next to the bath and hold her hand. "I'm nervous for the birth" she says. "It's okay to be nervous but just remember how strong you were for the previous births" I remind her. "I know, it's just an irrational fear" she says. "I'm not leaving your side. I promise" I say which makes her smile.

"Do you remember that time we were sat on the beach in Charleston during season 1?" She says and I nod, remembering what happened. "It always sticks in my head how we were talking about getting married, having a large family that would be surf crazy like you are" she says. "And look at us now, married with a large surf crazy family" I say. "This little one doesn't know what he's got" I say, placing my hands on her bump. We found out a few weeks about that we were having a baby boy, which would be nice for Finn considering he was the only boy. As for Ellie, she's having a baby girl which she is excited for. I still can't believe how grown up she's gotten.

"You've made my life amazing, Chase" she says, squeezing my hand. "You're perfect. You always know how to make my happy and you're an amazing Dad to all of our children" she says, getting emotional. I use my spare hand to wipe her tears away. "The same goes for you. You're the best wife I could possibly imagine and if I didn't have you, I'd be lost. All the kids adore you, Mads" I say kissing his gently on her lips. "It's the hormones making me emotional" she says and we both laugh.

"Ready for a massage?" I say and she gasps, excitedly. "You didn't tell me about a massage" she says excited. "Of course, only the best treatment for the best human" I say and begin to massage her shoulders. "If you move forward a little I'll be able to massage your back" I say and she quickly does so. Once I begin massaging her back, a smile appears on her face. "My back has been hurting for days so this is really helping" she says but I frown a little, "Days? Why did you never tell me?" I say and she shrugs. "I didn't want to bother you" she says but I shake my head, "you're never bothering me" I say leaning forward to kiss her.

After another 30 minutes, my phone begins to call. I pull it out of my pocket and my heart drops when I see Coopers name appear... it could only mean one thing. I show Mads and quickly answer, "Coop? Everything good?" I ask. "Ellie's water has just broken, we are on the way to hospital but she wants you two there" he says and I nod. "We'll be on our way" I say and put the phone down. "Els is in labour" I say and Mads looks panicked.

Mads gets out of the bath and dressed as quickly as she can with my help and we get in car. Thankfully, the younger kids were all with Madison and Mariah for the day. "She's so anxious about it all" Mads says. "I know, she'll be okay though. She's strong" I say and Maddie agrees.

When we pull up to the hospital, Cooper texts us the room number and we head straight there. We walk through the doors and see Cooper comforting Ellie. "Mom, Dad" she says, smiling through the pain of her contraction. "I'm here, baby. It's going to be fine" Maddie says, holding Ellie's hand.

"Your labour is going pretty fast, you'll be ready to start pushing in a few minutes" the nurse says and Ellie looks at Madelyn worried. "Listen to me baby, it's going to be okay. It will hurt but I promise you it's all worth it. You'll have your baby girl with you so soon" Mads says. "Cooper and I will be holding your hand the whole time" she adds. "Do you want me to leave during the whole pushing part? I don't know if you're more comfortable or not with me gone" O say, I didn't want to make Els uncomfortable. "No you can stay, just stay up top" she says, laughing so I head to the top of the bed, next to Mads.

When Els starting pushing, I could tell she was squeezing Cooper and Maddie's hand tight so I rubbed her head/hair to try give her any sort of comfort I could. "You're doing amazing, Els. Keep going" Mads says. "It's so hard, Mom" Ellie says. "I know but you're almost there" she says.

A couple of minutes later, a crying baby was placed on Ellie's chest. We all had tears in our eyes, she was beautiful and Ellie done such an amazing job.

"Welcome to the world Mila Renee Pate-Stokes" Ellie says, revealing the name. I could tell it meant a lot to Madelyn that Ellie used Renee for her middle name. "You done so good, Ellie. We're so proud of you" I say.

"Chase..." A very quiet and pale Maddie says. I look over to her, "Yeah?" I say and she points to the floor. Her sweatpants and the floor was soaking wet. "My waters just broke..." she says.
