Jongho sat down by the frozen lake, enjoying the tingling sensations he felt whenever the breeze became stronger. He gazed across the scenery, it was all pale, but beautiful, memories of a certain stranger, a stranger he now considered as a friend, flooding in his mind. Pale but beautiful, Yeosang. It hasn't been long since he had met Yeosang, but he wasn't able to get him out of his head.

The impact that Yeosang's deep voice left upon Jongho was undeniably strong. His voice and his sharp and dazzling features, his grey eyes held a brewing storm and his soft lips that would feel like the petals of a rose. Jongho knew in his gut that Yeosang was something more than just a palace worker, Yeosang had pride in his voice and posture.

He looked down at his hands, how he would love to have Yeosang's pale hands in them, entangled. Deep down he knew, that if he could grab ahold of those slender fingers, he would never let them go. He wasn't supposed to have tidal waves of such thoughts, but this breathtaking man never managed to let his mind rest at ease.

He sighed and watched his warm breath puff out of his mouth as he heard the jingling noise of someone's horse gear, and for some reason, he knew exactly who it was.

"Nice to see you, Jongho", Yeosang's deep voice felt heavenly. "I was hoping I would come across you"

Jongho watched as Yeosang hopped off Midnight and approached him, his majestic cape sweeping the snow behind him. "Then I'm glad" Jongho managed to say. As he said, there was something more majestic and prideful even about the way that the latter would place his steps.

Yeosang pushed his coat behind him and sat beside Jongho, crossing his legs by his ankles. "It's been quite a long day. I knew talking with you would be the best solution to get it all off of my mind" he sighed.

"Anything wrong?" Jongho asked, concerned. The worry in his voice overdid the blush creeping across his cheeks. Yeosang had come here, because he had found comfort in Jongho.

"My stepmother got sick, so my marriage- Er. . . I meant, the Prince's political marriage had to postponed. I've been running around, ordering people to do things, so I'm a little tired. Nothing much, just a normal day in the Palace" Yeosang sighed, yet again.

"You could always call me if you need help you know. I'd be glad to help out a friend of mine" Jongho stated.

Friend, Yeosang was quick to look at the frost around his boot heels as he felt his cheeks tint in pink. "I wish I could. You're a general and I'm. . . a nobody who works at the palace"

"Oh come on Snowboy, it's fine. It's not like the Prince would throw you in jail for it" Jongho playfully rolled his eyes, a smile flashing across his cheeks. His pink gums visible as he smiled brightly. Yeosang's orbs widened in amazement, the latter didn't smile a lot, but when he did, Yeosang felt as if a blanket of warmth had embraced him.

"Next time, I shall try to seek your help. It's not easy to do all the work alone anyways. . ." Yeosang shrugged as Jongho smiled, he was glad that this stubborn boy finally agreed to accept his aid.

"Ah, didn't you say that the wedding is postponed?" Jongho asked.

"Yes, I did" Yeosang turned to look at the tanner boy, his brown eyes gazing across the frozen lake.

"Then, good for us. We can meet here every afternoon. We could both let away our troubles. I'm not sure about you, but I feel like I could trust you, Snowboy" Jongho said, turning towards Yeosang.

"Sure! I would love to meet up. I haven't met up with my friends in a long time. I'm glad I have you to call my friend, Jongho. . . And, Snowboy, is that a new nickname?" Yeosang smiled.

"Y-yeah" Jongho scratched his nape, but he himself was not able to look away from the other boy. The corners of his lips arced in joy as his grey eyes turned into crescents, like the moon.

"I like that nickname. . ." Yeosang knew that he wasn't used to being called anything rather than Your Highness, Sire or My Prince, but he was oddly satisfied and felt a sudden feeling of comfort ignite in him.

"I'm glad you do. . . So, Snowboy, tell me more about yourself" Jongho adjusted his posture.

"Me? Well, I'm Kang Yeosang, the crown prince. . .'s assistant-like person. I work at the palace, and so does my Father" Yeosang pursed his lips.

"What about your mother?" Jongho asked.

"She died of an illness during the war. My Father believes that your Kingdom's people poisoned her, but he doesn't know. He didn't know anything about Mother's health, all he did was fight and kill. . . Mother never wanted me to turn out like Father, she wanted me to create peace within the Kingdom, and I shall do so" he said with deep pride.

"I shall accompany you within your journey, as I would love to see Wonderland back as one. You being a palace worker can't do it on your own, you need the aid of a general!" Jongho said, oblivious as a new born child.

"Of course, Captain" Yeosang joked.

C-captain? Jongho suddenly felt a flutter of butterflies as he heard Yeosang call him that.

"That's my nickname for you. Better than Snowboy though" Yeosang chuckled, his melodiously deep voice ringing in Jongho's ears.

"I guess. . . And, Yeosang? How are you close with the Princess of the Kingdom of Fire?" Jongho questioned.

"O-oh. . . Um, I've run across her a few times at the Palace. I met her today as well" Yeosang lied.

"It must be amazing to work at the Palace. I mean, I do too, but my job is more dangerous. I will have to slice through anyone if they harm my Kingdom's royals and people. . . My job is sinful, but yours isn't. I had a random thought that maybe you were the Prince, but of course you are not" he chuckled. "The Prince spends an even more sinful life than me"

"I'm glad I'm no Prince" Yeosang felt his heart crush, he was lying to Jongho, even though Jongho trusts him. Little did Jongho know, the Prince of Ice, wasn't a sinful man, he wouldn't dare to hurt an innocent man, but Yeosang kept quite, wishing that Jongho's thoughts of the Prince being a ruthless human being would become true. Yeosang would walk through Hell's fires to be the Crowned Prince his Father wanted him to be.

"Ahh. . . It is true that people say time flies soon when you're enjoying it" Jongho sighed as he gazed across the pale but glowing evening sun reflected upon the mirror-like surface of the lake.

"Yes, it's true" Yeosang responded with a joyful nod. "Well, Captain, I better get going" he stood up.

"I must too, I like spending my time here with you, Snowboy. Let's meet up tomorrow" Jongho smiled.

"We will meet tomorrow in the evening. I shall await your arrival" Yeosang said with a smile before he hopped on Midnight and sped away.

"Oh, Yeosang, you have left me a mess"
