"I shall marry her, Father. But you cannot claim the marriage to be out of love nor can you request and heir"

"What? Did I hear right?" King Hyun was over the moon to hear that Yeosang had finally said that he would marry the Princess.

"Yes, but I hope you remember the conditions" with that said and done, Yeosang swept across and the room and out to the corridor.

"In the name of the Dragon, why did I change my future spouse because of something a random man said" he shook his head and reached his room.

When he walked in, Luna was bouncing on her bed, excited to see her master arrive. By her bed, Sunghoon sat by a chair, his dark black hair standing out against his pale skin, now glowing in the soft sun.

"Brother, so you agreed! What made you change your mind?" Sunghoon asked, placing the book he had been reading aside.

Yeosang bent down and petted his wolf and looked at Sunghoon. "Someone made me"

"Oh. . . Someone. . . Maybe the one you truly love?" Sunghoon smiled.

"Love? Me? Him? Ha Ha Ha. . . No" Yeosang smiled awkwardly. Did he love Jongho?

"It's a him. . . I see. . . I'm glad you found someone nice, Brother. I want nothing but the best for you" Sunghoon patted Yeosangs back before he went out of the room.

"I tend to mess things up, don't I, Luna?" Yeosang fell back on his bed as Luna hopped on and snuggled into his grasp.

"I don't love Jongho. . . Sure I like him, he's a nice guy. . . Not. . . Love" with that said, he dozed off.

The next morning, he awoke to the loud noises of his brother pacing in front of his bed. "Sunghoon? Are you okay?" Yeosang asked as he rubbed the sleep out of his grey eyes.

"Father isn't letting me into their chambers. . . I thought they must be making love but the palace servants have been rushing in and out with bowls of medicine and water" Sunghoon said in one breath.

"What?" Yeosang shot out of bed.

"Father is asking for you. I didn't want to wake you up as you were probably dreaming about some handsome guy named Jongho" Sunghoon crossed his arms over his chest as he raised an eyebrow.

"J-jongho?" Yeosang scratched his neck.

"Yes, you were muttering such a name and that he was dashing, in your sleep" Sunghoon said.

"O-oh" hiding the blush on his cheeks, Yeosang slipped his casual coat over his night wear and dashed out of his chambers. When he had reached his fathers' and step-mothers' chambers, he saw Princess Chaeyoung, Prince Mingi and King Song Eun standing by the doors. "Father, it is I, Yeosang" Yeosang called as he heard his fathers' voice respond from inside, "Let him in along with the Princess"

The servants pushed the door open, just enough for Yeosang and Chaeyoung to slip inside.
The King sat beside his wife, who lay on the bed as she was lifeless, her black hair flowing lose behind her. King Hyun held his wife's pale hand in his as their Grand Advisor Kim stood at the foot of their bed.

"Father. . ." Yeosangs' voice trailed off.

"Son, your step-mother. She has fallen ill, and I am afraid that we must postpone today's ball for later. Princess Chaeyoung, I am horribly sorry for having to do this" King Hyun looked at the soon to be wedded duo with sympathy in his wrinkled eyes.

"No, it's fine father, I shall command the guards to spread the news. . ." Yeosang nodded.

"Yes, of course, King Hyun, it is more than okay to postpone the ball as we have to focus on the Queens' health. Yeosang, please do remain by your fathers' side, I shall command our General to assemble your guards to spread the news. . ." Chaeyoung said and she bowed once before leaving the chambers.

"What happened, Father?" Yeosang asked as he sat on the chair their servants had brought for him.

"She fainted earlier and she turned pale as a ghost. I was not sure whether to tell Sunghoon as all he would do was worry and not leave Sujins' side. Grand Advisor Kim had advised me not to as well" King Hyun said.

"It is true that he would worry but you ought to tell her son, right Father?" Yeosang said as he observed their Grand Advisor, who was staring at him.

"How long shall we postpone the ball, Your Highness" Grand Advisor Kim directed the question to Yeosang.

"As long as it takes for the Queen to recover. It doesn't matter how long, but the health of the Queen of our Kingdom shall come first over whatever ball is to be held" Yeosangs' voice was firm as his true leadership surfaced. A spark of pride erupted in King Hyuns' heart.

Yeosang sat by his Fathers' side for hours and hours until King Hyun finally requested Yeosang to call his brother in. Sunghoon had rushed to his mothers' side and had clutched her hand while holding it up to his forehead, hoping to cover the few tears of sorrow and worry.

Assured that Sunghoon won't lave the Queens' side until she wakes, Yeosang excused himself and went back to his chambers. His royal blue walls creeped with frost in his cold presence. Yeosang dressed in his casual clothes and draped his cloak over his shoulders. He knew exactly where he wanted to go after a long day. . . To Jongho.
