...
"Faster boy!" Prince Kang urged his horse. His large white stallion, Midnight, obeying his master's commands, fastened his pace. "That's the spirit" the prince smiled and patted Midnight's neck.
The icy wind ruffling his snowy hair, his adventurous grey eyes awaiting more danger, his soft lips curving into a smile whenever Midnight would take giant leaps. His knees bent as he flew along with Midnight.
The little snowflakes stroking his pale skin, while rushing past his ears, made him feel alive.
His gloved hands tightly wrapped around his stallion's reins and his booted feet adjusted on the stirrup. His sword neatly buckled around his waist and his white riding outfit trimmed with royal blue, well fit upon his figure.
Midnight galloped past enormous pine trees and mountains of snow. Allowing Prince Kang to bounce on his seat. Midnight's icy white mane flowing gracefully on the side of his neck and his royal saddle and badge told everyone that he was a stallion of royalty. His great limbs speeding upon his masters' command, Midnight was the best horse Prince Kang could ever ask for.
They slowed down at the village, where the people were doing their usual activities. The sloped roofs of the houses and the smell of freshly baked goods filling the air. The merry noises of the little playing children filled Yeosang's ears. The citizens probably didn't see him watching them since he was hidden behind the trees. Flags where the Kingdom's crest was sewn into were hung on every pole. The cheerful laughs of the men and women equally told Yeosang that his people were happy.
"Let's go back, boy" Yeosang told Midnight as he started galloping towards the palace again.
Midnight's fast pace slowed into a trot when he reached the palace. Prince Kang rode into the palace whose gates were opened wide by the guards.
He dismounted Midnight and pulled off his gloves as the horse-keeper approached them, while his snowy white locks fell upon his eyes when looking down.
"Good job today" Prince Kang patted Midnight's snout as he fed him the cubes of sugar given to him by the horse-keeper. Midnight snuggled his head into Prince Kang's hand, allowing him to pet him more. "Good boy" the prince chuckled as the horse neighed.
"May I take him to the royal stables Your Highness?" the horse-keeper asked, bowing, not daring to look into the prince's stormy eyes.
"Yes, you may" Prince Kang nodded and watched Midnight being guided towards the stables.
He let out a big sigh and began making his way towards the palace, while looking around. A number of snowflakes rained down on his arms and riding outfit, while the rest joined the ones resting upon the large pine trees and the rock paved ground.
