Kalahati lang ang mabubuhay sa amin. Eleven. Wait. We're twenty-two players.. everyone has three lives, then totally we have sixty six lives! Every person needs only five lives to win. Ibig sabihin may matitira pang isang buhay sa mga natalo! Kagaya ni Kalil! Then if we plus it.. eleven lives. Eleven lives can win only two people. Eleven plus two, thirteen.
Thirteen people can survive in this game.
"Andrew Yue, twenty-two years old, lose."
"Levi Acerta, twenty-two years old, lose."
"Franziz Breka, twenty-two years old, lose."
Sunod-sunod na pag-sabog ang narinig namin. Nanlalambot ang tuhod ko. Lima na agad ang namatay. Even Levi!
"Leriah, tara kay Peppa." sabi ni Yuan. Tumango ako at hinila si Dino. Kanina pa siya nakatulala. Halos mahimatay ako habang naglalakad palapit sa pwesto ni Peppa at Jamilla. Nadaanan namin ang katawan ni Levi! Nahati ang katawan niya.. kita na ang mga laman. Nakakasuka. Laking pasasalamat ko nang makarating sa pwesto ni Peppa. Kalapit niya si Bobby at Nery. So.. lahat kami panalo na maliban kay Peppa. Tumingin ako sa buhay ni Peppa. She only has one live!
"Peppa!" sigaw ko. She faced me. Her face is so pale!
"Leriah girl!" she smiled at me, but tears start on escaping from her eyes. "Natalo ako ng bruha!"
Lumapit ako sa kaniya at niyakap siya. She won't die. I will think a solution.. she just can't die! Bobby, Nery, Yuan, Dino, and I won! Wait. We won. My eyes widened. We won! Tumingin ako kay Bobby, he have six lives! Also Yuan, Nery and Dino! We only needs five lives to win!
"Peppa! You can win!" sigaw ko.
Kumunot ang noo niya. Nakita kong umalis na si Jamilla sa pwesto niya. Ako ang pumalit sa pwesto niya.
"Look, the four of them has six lives." I said. She looked at them, then at me. "We only needs five lives to win!"
Her eyes widened when she realized what I am trying to say. "Oh my God!" she hugged me, she's crying now.
"Oh, gets ko!" sigaw ni Bobby. Binatukan siya si Nery.
"Tumatakbo ang oras Peppa, bilis!" natatawang sigaw ni Nery. Isa-isa silang nagpatalo ng isang beses kay Peppa. In the end, the five of us has five lives!
"I love you guys so much!" Peppa said while sobbing. I smiled. We survived. I faced Dino. Kanina pa siya tahimik.
"Hey. What's wrong?" I asked. Bumuntong hininga siya.
"The image of Serra getting explode.. it keeps on entering my mind." she said. My best friend. I want to say 'its okay' but it's not really okay. So I just hugged her and whispered 'I love you' many times.
"Ten minutes and nine seconds, time remaining." Napaharap ako sa screen sa harapan dahil doon. May mga nakasulat na doon kung sino ang mga nanalo at namatay!
