Chapter Forty- Three

We pull into the barn parking lot at exactly eleven. Justin and I get out and meet Maggy in the indoor. My jaw drops when I see the course that is set up. "Um.. there's no way I'm jumping this today." I state as I look around the 4ft jumper course. Maybe, just maybe, if it was the simple outside, diagle, outside, diagnle course that I've been doing for the past 5 months, I would jump it. But this is a real life jumper course. Roll-backs, broken lines, combinations show themselves everywhere. Even if I were to jump this, then Justin would have to put it down to at least 3ft.

He raps is arm around my shoulders and squeezes me into a side hug, "Don't worry, I'll put them up once you get warmed up a bit."

Rolling my eyes, I push him away. Then, spinning on my heals, I make my way to Harry's stall. I stop short when I see Emily walking slowly down the aisle, staring at her phone.

I can't move, I'm frozen. The second she looks up from her phone I'm dead! I have to move! I have to hide! But my feet aren't moving. They're glued to the floor!

Before I could do anything else, Justin's arms wrap around me and shove me into a random stall. Just as he was about to close the door behind him her bubbly voice echos through the barn, "Justin?" He hesitates, gives me a look that clearly says to stay down and walks out of the stall, locking it behind him. "Oh my god! What are you doing here?" She squeals and jogs over to him.

"Oh, ah, Just checking in on Zelda."

"What's wrong with Zelda?"

"She's pregnant." I hear Maggy's voice walking up.

"Oh my god! Really?" Her voice makes my ear drums want to burst it was so high. "Her foal is going to be so cute! I can't wait to see it." She takes in a sharp breath of air. "Oh my god! Could I train it? That would be so cool!"

I hear Maggy snicker. "Sorry Emily, but I got a special person picked out to break little Zelda's foal. I figured it was a good match since she got along with Zelda so well."

What? Who would break in Zelda's foal? I think. "Who actually get's along with Zelda? She's a freak!" Emily pouts.

"That's not your concern. But mine is why are you here so late at night?" Maggy questions.

Just then I hear another set of feet come from the back of the barn. "Ah, I see." I hear Maggy acknowledge. "Whatever you were just doing with Josh I do not approve of in my barn!" Maggy says venomously.

I cover my mouth, astonished that Emily and Josh would be stupid enough to come to the barn thinking Maggy wouldn't find out. Josh is a rider that started coming here the last few weeks before my big accident. He's not a bad looking guy, but you could tell that he's a player. So him and Emily combined their brillient minds together and decided to come here. "Maggy I-" Emily gets cut off.

"You can fool around with whoever you want, I don't care. But you were stupid enough to come here!" Oh Shit! I think. Shit is about to go down! I think excitedly. Maggy is getting into her adios mode! "You have five seconds to leave this property and if you every come here past nine again, you will be kicked out of this barn for good!" I hear them start to hurry away. "Oh, and you both are banned from the barn for five days." I hear them both complain. "You're lucky I didn't make it for a month! But lucky for you, I want you to show on the 14th. Something tells me it's going to be good and you should be there to see it." I choke down a laugh and Maggy says "Leave before I do make it a month, oh and I will be telling your parents, bye!" And they scurry out of the barn.

Justin comes into the stall and makes a goofy smile "Let's ride"

I look in Harry's stall and sigh. I'm really going to jump this today. I want to, I really do. But I just feel like I'm going to hurt him. Thankfully, last time I was the one to take the beating, but Harry isn't aways going to be that lucky.
