"You have to get out and moving! it's better for you!" Justin said as he tossed the ball at me.
"I am!" I motion my hand to show what I'm doing.
"Throwing a hand ball around doesn't count! He grins.
Ever since I got my casts off I've been forced to go outside and do something. Throwing things felt like a good idea. Anyway, the casts coming off lightened my mood a tiny bit. Enough to make me realize that Justin is actually kind of cool. I no longer think of him as the enemy equestrian but as Justin, a good friend.
"But I'm still sore! I can't go running around!" I protest, throwing the ball at him. "It's been two weeks since I got my cast off! when will it end?!" I joke.
"You'll feel better in about a week. Besides the doctor did say you can go back to riding"
I freeze, but then nonchalantly turn around. " Thanks but no thanks" I simply say. "Come on, let's go inside."
I'm just going inside my room when Justin comes up behind me and says "he misses you".
I wanted to turn around and punch him in the face but instead I turn around. "I'm not going back!" I snapped. It came out meaner than I wanted it to but Justin knows not to bring up this subject.
"You'll come around" he grins, totally unfazed.
"No, I won't" I say a little better than before.
"I'm just going to say I told you so when you do."
"Justin, I hope you realize that this is getting you absolutely, completely nowhere."
He smirks and walks into the guest room. Why on earth does the guest room have to be right next to mine?
"Gina" mom comes over. " You can't stay-"
I put up my hand. "Don't" and I walk into my room. "I'm NOT going back", "it's NOT happening" I talk to myself.
"You know this is just a thought but maybe you should stop talking to yourself and start talking about the crash to somebody. Just a thought" Justin says through the wall.
Instinctively I hit my fist on the wall and yell "shut-up!" But then it sinks in and hits me like a punch to the stomach. I perch myself on my bed since my bed is just the hight if my butt. "The dream" I whisper.
"It's not a dream, it happened in real life you know." Justin says at the doorway now. I learned that Justin is one to always be sarcastic, sometimes it's funny, sometimes I want to slap him.
"Shut up" I say almost venomously. "You were there, so I don't have to do any talking, thank you" I snap.
"One day you will." he stares at me
And I star right back at him. His eyes remind me of Zach Efrons'. After a minute passed he hesitantly walked back into his room.
My mind starts go over that horrid mess of a day.
