I'm almost at the end of the book when Justin comes home, snapping me out of my book daze. "Thanks for the book" I say when he reaches my room.
"No problem. It's one of my favorites and I thought you might like it." And I did. It was written great too. "But forget about books for right now. What the hell is Maggy all excited about?"
"She didn't tell you?" I ask in surprise. He shakes his head. I take a second to sit up straighter and to get a british accent going. "I have the most brilliant among brilliant ideas that I've ever come up with."
"What is it?" He asks too excited to play along. And I tell him. Everything that he, Maggy, and I have to do to get this plan to work succesfully. His face reads excitment when I'm done explaining.
"You in or out?" I ask already knowing the answer.
"I'm in 100%! This is going to be awesome!"
It will be great only if I can pull it off. "Everything starts in a week." I say.
"I wish I've would've known earlier!"
I smile, "You had to work, you couldn't get here."
"Actually" His expression gets sorry, "Maggy let me out early so that I could come talk to you but my parents called right when I was leaving and asked if I could go see them." He quickly adds "I'm so sorry Gina! I should've told you!"
"Justin!" he's crazy to think that he did something wrong. "Justin, why are you acting so scared about it? When ever your parents call, text, email, whatever! You better go see them. I get to see you everyday, They don't."
"Okay, but I should've called you though" He says quietly.
"I don't have a phone so that's almost impossible."
"True, oh, just to give you a heads up. I'm going to see them on the 7th." He pauses, " three days away." His expression changes and I know now that he really is excited to finally be seeing his parents. He's counting down the days.

When we step outside at 11:00 the rain pours down on us. Quickly we run across the dark stoop until we rich the silver Volvo. Thankfully mom went to bed early again. But I still felt bad because I was the "one to make her late then have her run around like a maniac to catch up on her rounds. "Could it rain any harder?" I complain.
"I think it got worse from this morning." He looks over at me as he starts to pull out of the driveway. "Do you want a jacket? The rain is freezing although the tempurature."
"Nah, I'll be fine. We're staying inside anyway."
"True" He agrees. "But if you get cold let me know and I'll grab your sweatshirt out of the back for you."
"Okay."
We step out of the car when we get to the barn. The rain feels like sleet pelting you as we run to the barn. Justin was right, the rain is freezing! Just a few days ago the tempurature was in the 80's. But now it feels like its dropped thirty degrees.
We slide open the big double doors and step inside only for a second when Zelda, Maggy's bay show jumping horse whose pregnent comes flashing by us, out the door and up around the back of the barn.
Maggy comes running at us, wide eyed. "Zelda's loose! Help!"
I turn and start to run the way Zelda went. "Stay down here just incase she comes back!" I yell at Justin. He is reluctant when he slows but turns to run back to the barn. Now its Maggy and I who run to the back of the barn. We are both soaked and freezing.
