I see  my dad and Danielle sitting on the couch and I run to hug them.

“Dad! Mom! Oh my God I missed you guys!” I jump on the couch and land in their middle so I can be able to hug them both at once.

“We missed you too baby.” my dad says getting up from the couch and I get up alongside him

“You guys didn't tell me you were coming back today.” I say still in shock

“Yeah we know, we wanted it to be a surprise.” Danielle says getting up too

I hug her like my life depends on it

“Well I was really surprised.” I say out of breath

“How have you guys been holding up while we've been away?” she asks

“We've been.......surviving.” I joke and they laugh

“By the way, where's your sister?” she says looking around

“I don't know.” I answer unsurely

I know Danielle and my dad will soon catch on that I and Heaven aren't on good terms.

I don't want our parents to get involved because I don't want them to think that we're still having problems getting along even though we've been together for quite some time now, but there's no way they wouldn't notice if Heaven comes in here now and continues acting towards me the way she has for the past week.

“You don't know? What do you mean ‘you don't know?’ Don't you guys come home together?”

“I.....I.......We.......We......Well, the thing is....” I stammer

Just then, the front door is opened and Heaven walks in. Saved by the door I think, mentally wiping the imaginary sweat off my forehead

“Mum! Dad!” Heaven exclaims m, running to hug them.

“Cupcake how've you been?” Danielle asks squeezing Heaven tightly

“I've been really good.” Heaven says
“Although everywhere hasn't quite felt the same without you.” she adds pouting

“Well I'm back now.” Danielle says

“Good cause I missed you.”

“I missed you too baby.” Danielle says and they hug again

When they've broken out of their hug, Danielle says

“I was asking your sister where you were but she didn't know.”

“Yeah......we can talk about that later. Don't you guys want to rest? I'm sure the trip must've been long.” Heaven says in a lousy attempt to evade Danielle's accusations.

“No. I want to talk about it now. Did anything happen between you guys while we were away?” Danielle says folding her arms across her chest

Heaven gives me with the stink eye and turns back to Danielle

“What? No! Of course not. Why would you think that?” she says smiling

“Oh are you sure?” Danielle asks skeptically

“Very.” I say the same time Heaven says
“Hundred percent.”

“Well I'm not convinced.” she says looking at  us through the corner of her eyes

“You can trust me mom. I wouldn't lie to you.” I say with a smile just for an extra touch of believability

“What was that supposed to mean?” Heaven says snapping her neck in my direction for the first time all week
