Perrie's POV:
"Let's go, Leigh. I need a drink." Tonight, I am going out with Leigh once again. I really need to let loose and have a drink after the week I've had. But the thing I need most is to get away from Jade.
Since Jade saw me cry that night, I have avoided her as much as possible because I'm scared she'll ask me about it. I'm not sure if Jade notices I'm avoiding her since she worked really hard the last few days. She has barely been home because of it. What I also don't know is why I'm so scared to tell her. Jade is one of the most understanding people in the world, but still, this feels impossible to tell anyone.
Leigh nods and gets up from my bed to follow me out. As we enter the kitchen, I stop dead in my tracks at the sight in front of me. Jade and Danielle are sitting on the couch drinking a glass of wine together.
Jade's back is faced to me, so I mouth a "what the fuck" to Danielle. She just smiles back and continues talking to Jade.
"I'm just going to grab a glass of water. My mouth is really dry all of a sudden," I say loudly to Leigh as I make my way into the kitchen. Now I just wait and hope that Danielle got my hint and meets me here.
A few minutes later, she walks into the kitchen. "What the fuck are you doing here, Dani!?" I whisper yell. "I'm having a girls night with Jade." She states simply. "I bumped into her at the grocery store yesterday and she asked. I had no reason to say no, so I decided to come."
"What do you mean you have no reason to say no? The reason is standing right in front of you." My tone rises and I take a few deep breaths to calm myself down. What if she tells Jade? I really cannot deal with that right now.
"Perrie, relax." She puts her hands on my shoulders and waits until I look into her eyes. "I'm not going to tell her anything about the two of us, don't worry."
"Fine." I turn around and exit the kitchen. I need a drink even more now. This situation with Dani suddenly turned way more stressful. "Let's go, Leigh!" I yell as I walk to the front door, avoiding Jade's eyes at all costs.
When we enter the club, I head straight for the bar. "Two shots of tequila, please." When Leigh finally gets to me through the crowd, the bartender places my drinks on the counter. Leigh moves to take one of the shots. "Uh uh, Pinnock, those are mine."
I down both shots right after each other and feel the liquid burn in my throat. Leigh-Anne looks stunned. "It's going to be one of those nights, huh, Pez? I'm so ready for that." She quickly orders two shots and catches up with me. "Let's go, blondie!"
Jade's POV:
Danielle and I are already on our second bottle of wine and I must be honest, I am really drunk. It's one of those nights where I don't realize how it happened exactly, but suddenly it did.
My intoxicated mind starts thinking about my blonde roommate. Since the night I had her crying in my arms, she has said a total of 4 sentences to me. It's really bothering me, but I don't want it to because it only makes Jed's words more real. On the other hand, she still is my best friend. Best friends care, and best friends want to help each other. However, Perrie makes me feel like she doesn't want my help. The dilemma now is whether I listen to her signals or to my instincts.
"Hey, Jadey, you look sad all of a sudden. What's wrong?" Danielle slurs. "It's nothing." Danielle is still looking at me suspiciously and I know she's waiting for the honest answer. Well, why shouldn't I tell her? She is one of my best friends after all and I can tell her anything.
"It's Perrie." Danielle's eyes widen slightly at the name, but she quickly recovers. "What's with her?"
"The last few days, she has been ignoring me and I don't know why. I don't know what happened to her. We were doing so great. I really can't go back to the way we were the previous months. Not when we were finally doing better."
Danielle looks at me sympathetically and squeezes my free hand. "Maybe I can try to talk to her to find out what is going on?" She suggests sweetly.
"That's really sweet of you, Dani, but you guys barely know each other. I will figure it out myself." I down my glass of wine and stand up. "Let's go to bed. I'm worn out."
Perrie's POV:
Leigh-Anne and I stumble to my front door, bumping into each other occasionally. After a solid 15 minutes, I finally get the door open. I look at Leigh-Anne and we both speak up at the same time. "Midnight snack!"
We stumble in the kitchen and I stop when I see a brunette sitting at one of the stools at the counter. She turns around slowly and I gulp as I take in her outfit. She is wearing a short nightgown that ends mid-thigh and shows a lot of cleavage.
She walks up to me slowly, but I can see she isn't walking in a straight line. She's drunk too. When she's standing right in front of me, she leans in and I feel her breath against my ear, making all the hairs on my neck stand up. "Meet me in your bedroom once you're done here."
She pulls me in for a slow and passionate kiss before she winks and walks away. Leigh is standing there looking at me with wide eyes. "You are totally fucking Danielle tonight," She says.
"Not only tonight," I smirk and Leigh slaps my arm. "No way, Edwards. She's the girl you have been sleeping with the past month?" I nod sheepishly and take the chicken nuggets out of the freezer to give me an excuse not to look at Leigh.
"OMG!" She shrieks. "Doesn't Jade find it weird that her two best friends are fucking in her house?" I look down and mumble just loud enough. "She doesn't know."
"What!? Oh no, girl, you are in trouble. How does she not know this?" I look up, annoyed at my friend. "You don't think I know I'm in trouble? Danielle doesn't want Jade to know. I don't know why. I asked her multiple times, but she just doesn't want it. So you are going to keep your big mouth shut and make sure she doesn't know anything, okay?"
Leigh-Anne looks taken aback by my sudden outburst. "Calm your tits, Edwards. I was just observing, not judging." I take a deep breath. "I'm sorry, Leigh, it's just a nerve-wracking situation. I didn't mean to yell at you like that."
"It's okay, now tell me everything." So I tell her everything about Danielle and me while we make and eat our chicken nuggets. Well, almost everything. When I am done talking and Leigh-Anne finishes all the chicken nuggets, we make our way upstairs.
I'm standing in front of my own door now, not knowing what to expect when I open it. Leigh-Anne walks to the guest room and turns back to me. "Get some girl." And then, she's gone.
I slowly open my door and find the room completely dark. I flip the light switch and Danielle is sleeping in my bed. She must have passed out because I took so long. A giggle escapes my lips when I look at her lying there in her sexy outfit. I pull the covers over her and get under them on my side of the bed. I'm asleep in a matter of seconds due to the alcohol in my system.
