Lando's movin to Monaco...
TW explicit Panic attack(s)
They're so fucking gay for each other my poor single soul can't take it
POV Max:
When Lando first tells him, Max thinks he's joking. He wasn't. His bestfriend was going to move to Monaco. After that he was shocked, his mouth open staring at Lando, the emotions most definetly displaying in his eyes.
"I can't tell you why, I don't even know myselfit just felt right? Like something fresh, you know?"
Lando seemed genuinly excited and happy, so Max told him he's happy for him. He is, it's just that Max wasn't happy.
Everything good that he built around himself over the last year, was ripped from him within seconds.
He watched Lando pack, clothes, belongings and even his side of the streaming set-up and all Max wanted to do was scream and yell at Lando to not leave him alone. But he coudn't do that, because Lando was his own person and max had no right to be selfish, when his best friend had given him so much already.
Lando had told him Max could keep living in the house and even invite someone over to stay with him, but Max couldn't bear it.
He moved back in with his parents, he took all the hoodies from Lando with him that the other had left. The first two weeks he did nothing, but sleep, cuddle Lala and watch Netflix.
Max saw the concerned looks his parents gave him each morning at breakfast and each evening at dinner.
He himself felt his mental health dropping immensely. It was about to be Christmas, a holiday that was all about love and family. Yet the person he loved the most wasn't there and it wasn't like he was just spending the winter break at his parents no, Lando, Tom, Connor and Max were going to celebrate new years together. As a goodbye somehow.
Max felt his chest tightening more each day, breathing got harder and panicking easier. Sleep wasn't his best friend either and after 3 full weeks back with his parents it was finally Christmas.
Max didn't feel like celebrating though. He was restless, his thoughts were racing and his heart beating way too fast.
He could feel his breathing going rapid, slowly rocking back and forth. His mind slipped into a completely different reality. He was still present, still hearing all the conversations and happy laughter in the backround, but at the same time he wasn't.
Max couldn't pull himself out of it and the words and feelings were spiralling in his head. He wanted to run away, but he coudn't move. He felt the tears bawling up in his eyes his body trembling uncontrollably.
His entire body was cramping and and Max squished his eyes shut, trying to focus on his mothers voice, but she seemed so far away.
"...Count...100 97 94..."
91, 88, 85... Max kept going counting down from hundred in three steps. He could slowly feel his breathing going back to normal and his thought lightnening.
When his panick attack finally weighed off, he was just utterly exhausted. He fell into his Mother's arms and closed his eyes, letting her craddle his head.
He really appreciated her not talking and waiting for him to talk.
"I'm going to head to my room"
Max saw that his mother was hesistating, wanting to know what had caused the panic attack, but Max had to calm himself down first and find out what caused it.
