Insecure Lewis, clumsy/dumb/oblivious Daniel and protective Seb anyone?

"But there are people out there that care, Daniel.", Lewis now turned to glare at Daniel.

"There are men who want to dress feminine, there are non-binary people, genderfluid people and so many more people.

I care for fuck sake. It's nice that you don't because you don't wear such clothes anyway but I care I fucking care and I just want to be able to wear whatever the fuck I want without being stared at, laughed at and god knows what they talk about behind my back."

With every word that left Lewis' mouth Daniel began to realise more and more just how badly he had fucked up with what he said.

Tears were now glistering in his boyfriends eyes and Daniel wanted nothing more than to craddle Lewis close to his chest and murmur apologies into his hair. Before he could do that though Lewis opened the door of their shared hotel room only to shut it close with a loud thud mere seconds after.

For a good minute Daniel only stared at the door before he sat down on the bed.

"Fuck"

"Fuck, Fuck, Fuck. Why are you so stupid Daniel."

Lewis and him had been dating since the end of 2020 and the last year and a half had taught him a lot about Lewis. His childhood, his religious beliefs, his positivity, his constant urge to move, but also his insecurities.

Never had it come to his mind though that Lewis might be insecure about his fashion. He always seemed so confident, glowing with energy and excitement whenever he presented his outfit to Daniel.

It only occured to him now, that Lewis might have been so confident around him because he trusted Daniel. That Daniel was his safe space. And now he had ruined that for him.

Daniel took that trust away from Lewis, just because he wasn't able to listen to his boyfriend properly.

The tears now stung in his eyes as well. He needed to fix this and apologise.

He was about to head out of the room as well when he realised that he didn't even know where Lewis was. Daniel closed his eyes one more time before sitting down again and taking his phone out. He skipped through his contacts until his eyes landed on Sebastian's number. Without thinking twice he dialed it.

"I hope you have a good fucking excuse"

"Please tell me he's with you"

"Yes he is here and he is probably still crying in the shower so I really hope you have an excuse as to why you decided to be such an ignorant asshole?"

"i swear to god I didn't mean it like that. We were talking about the comments under Mclaren's post of Lando and me wearing crop tops and honestly i just didn't think twice.

I just meant that the comments don't affect me and I just I don't know. I don't fucking know what was going on in my head. It was a stupid thing to say I know. And I wish I could take it back."

"Well you can't. So get your ass here and fix what you destroyed or I will never let you near him again."

As fast as humanly possible Daniel ran to Seb's hotel which was luckily just on the other side of the road and impatiently waited for the elevator to come. When it finally did he was pacing around in the small cabin until it reached the 4th floor.

He practically banged on the door and didn't stop until the door finally opened.

He flew past Sebastian, crashing to his knees in front of Lewis who was sitting on one of the beds. Shaking Daniel took Lewis' hands into his own.

"Lewis, Baby I swear to god I never meant to hurt you. I never meant to break your trust. I know how important fashion is and I fully support you in everything you do. In that moment I just didn't think twice. I was just focussing on myself, but I promise you I will hunt down and punch everyone that even dares to make a comment about how you should Dress."

For a few moments the room was filled with silence until a soft sniffy voice reached his ears.

"Don't want you to hurt someone and get yourself in Trouble."

Quickly Daniel stood up and gathered Lewis in his arms. He was more lying on top of the older one really but in that moment it didn't matter.

Long time no see :) as I already expected, exam season pretty much ruined my writing flow, won't say I'm back because I still have two exams to write, but I do need some ideas and I was thinking of maybe writing some AU's, so hit me with some pairings and an AU for inspiration and I'll see if I'll write some of it

Originally I also wanted to write about their discussion about the post but I didn't know how to and forcing myself to write it would've probably ruined the Oneshot so I simply didn't I hope you enjoy it anyways
