"Dont do anything stupid until I get back." Bucky says I hear Steve laugh.
"How can I your taking all the stupid with you." I mock their catch phrase looking over to steve.
"So stupid." I joke.I instantly shiver in disgust.
"I'm not stupid." Steve said getting all defensive.
"Oh can it." I joke around. I wrap my arms around both of they're shoulders.
"Just be safe you two." I against their chest. "I'll be waiting at home." You better come back in one piece." I say hitting Jamie's chest.
"I hope this is the mission that finally takes me out. I don't want to come back to this kind of violence." Bucky jokes with a huge grin on his face. I punch his arm.
"Don't say that." I roll my eyes at him.
"You always take things so sensitively." He jokes.
"Loosen up. She's always so tense." Steve runs my shoulders. I pout my lip.
"One of us has to be the responsible, worried one and that's absolutely not you two." Give them a look.
"We have to go." Steve nudges at Bucky. Bucky looks at me, we hear people crying around us. We both turn our heads looking at people.
Silently judging them. We gave each other a judgemental face. He smiled at me then pulls me into a hug, I hug his back tightly. I pull away and hug Steve.
"I'll miss you too." I say in the crook of his neck.
I pull away and hug Bucky again.
"Stay safe." I as he hugs me tighter.
"Te amo hermanita." I pulls away and look at his eyes.
(I love you little sister)
"Te amo Jamie. Cuídate por mi."
(I love you Jamie. Take care of yourself for me).
He hugs me one more time.
"I will." He says. I take in his scent. "Here." He reaches into his pocket and takes out a dogtag. He places it in my hand. I hold it up and see Bucky's and Steve's military tag on the same necklace.
"We had new one's made so this is for you." He said. I smile and go to kiss my brother cheek and then Steve's.
"Thank you." I put the dog tag around my neck.
"Okay let's go." Bucky said before kissing my head.
"I love you Becca."
"I love you Jamie." He grabs his bag from the floor. Steve steps close to me and gives me hug and a kiss on the head.
"We'll be home sooner than you know."
I nodded my head.

This time I felt more overwhelmed because both of them are leaving me. Before I used to stay with Steve. Now their both going. They've been on missions here and there but not war. This is bigger.
"Until the end of the line." I scream they both turn around and nod at me with a big smile waving goodbye.
I felt hands on my shoulders. I turn around to see Howard.
"You stay safe out there" I smile.
"If we will grow old and be the married old couple we were talking about I will take extra precautions so we can fulfill that dream." He jokes
I roll my eyes at him with a big grin.
"You are so annoying." I laugh.
"There it is." He said with a smile. I look at him confused. "That laugh will give me the energy to survive without you for a while. " I look at him still more confused. "Just enough to make it back to you ." He adds on.
I roll my eyes at him. Just for a moment this conversation with Howard made me forget the nerves of my brother and Steve leaving.
"I have to go Rebecca." He says I give him a hug.
"Take care of yourself." I look into his deep brown eyes.
"I will just because you ask me to." I laugh as he walks away.
"I'll make it back to you I promise." He yells from far away. I wave goodbye to my brother, Steve and Howard as they depart. Already waiting for the day they return home.

It's been a few weeks since they left and I haven't received word from anyone. Peggy has been stuck in her office communicating back and forth with them but I have my own job to do. So I don't want to interrupt her. I'm working on files of old missions and stuff like that. I hear the doors open and in comes Steve.

"Steve!" I yell with a smile as he walks through the doors. I put my last file down and walk over to him. Howard walks in and stands next to him. I examine Steve's face.
Howard grabbed my hands and pulled me to face him.
"Rebecca." He said in a low voice. My eyes never leaving Steve. I hold my index finger up at Howard to silence him removing his hands from mine. In come two more soldiers and stand behind him. I look at them then back at Steve. Howard urged the people who were assisting me to leave the room. Including the military men. Leaving me in a room with Steve and Howard.
"Howard I would like to do this alone." Howard nodded at Steve and gave me one last look before walking out closing the door behind him. I looked at Steve confused.
This was all felt to familiar. Like I've lived this before.
"I have to do this is the military form." He says. "Rebecca Barnes." I instantly gasped realizing what was happening, I felt my smile fall into a frown. My heart shattered into millions of pieces. Tears starting to form in my eyes.
"Steve where's James." I said pushing past him with tears in my eyes.
"Becca." He said in a low voice.
"I said where is he Steve." I said in a stern voice. I looked up at Steve with tears in my eyes. He looked down at me with tears in his eyes as well.
"Fuck it I can't do it as a soldier." He said wiping his tears away.
"Steve." I said letting the first tear fell down my face.
"Becca I couldn't save him. I tried. He fell off a train over a mountain. He held on he really tried to but the metal he was holding on to wasn't strong enough to support him. The bar ripped and fell along with him." I listened closely. A frown crept into my face as the tears slid down my eyes.
"No." I said in disbelief. Steve put the folded American flag he had in his hands down on the table and came to me quickly. I looked at his eyes he had tears slipping out of them. He wrapped his arms around me. I gripped onto his arm as I sobbed. He hugged me tighter and tighter.

"I've lost everyone." I cried. "My mom, dad, and now my brother. He was the only one I had left. I'm alone."

"You have me Becca I'm not going anywhere."
"What if you do? I can't lose you too."
"I won't." He tightened his hug. We stayed there in that hug for a while.
"He finally did it." I said emotionless.
"What ?"
"He got rid of me." I cried.
"He was just joking Becca." He looked at my eyes.
"It was the end of the line for him." I whispered. He pulled me onto his chest again.
"I love you Becca." He said.
"I love you Steve." I said.
"We will get through this together like we always have. We're a team. You and me; we are until the end of the line. We will always been." He said. I nodded my head.
I cleared my tears and pulled myself together.
"I have some files I have to give Howard."
"I think he'll think it's okay if you miss a couple days." I shake my head at him.
"I-i can't do that."
"You just went through a loss of a sibling."
"I've been through so many losses Steve. If I let them affect me in any way I wouldn't be here if I did."
I grab the files and walk towards the door.
"I have a job to finish I'll see you at home." I said not looking at his face and walked out. I made my way towards Howard's office and knock at his door.
"Come in." I hear him say. I open the door and peaked in. He was sitting down with two other men in his office. When he looked up to see me he looked surprised.
"I'm sorry I just came to drop these off." I looked at the floor. He shook his head.
"No no they were just leaving. We can pick this up tomorrow." He told the men.
"No it's f-"
"No no please stay."He cut me off. The men quickly got up and left, leaving me in a office with howard alone.
"I'm sorry." I apologized.
"Why are you apologizing?"
"I ju-"
"Come here." He opened his arms and I went into a hug. He backed up with me in his arms and sat I'm his chair pulling me onto his lap. I rested my head on his shoulder and cried. I cried harder than I was with Steve.
"Let it out." He said. "Don't hold back with me." He hugged my waist tighter. His hand moved up to my face and pushed my hair out of my face. His finger gazed my face wiping my tears away. I look up at him with a frown.
"I'm sorry, I-I got your shirt wet." Howard grabbed my face with both hands.
"I wish I could do something to take all your pain away." He says resting his forehead on mine. We both hear the door open
"Howard I-" we pull away from each other to see peggy at the door."oh I'm sorry." A smirk appears on her face. She backs away towards the door.
"It's okay I was just leaving." I stand up from his lap. Howard grabs my wrist and pulls me back.
"I have to go home now." I say. I stand up and he releases me from him grasp.
"I'll go see you as soon as I can." He says and I nod. I turn to peggy and hug her goodbye.
"I'm so sorry for your brother." I nod at her and she hugs me tighter before letting go.
"I'll see you two later." I give them a weak smile before walking out of the room.

I get home and immediately stated crying. I went to go take a shower; then changed and then I went to bed. I couldn't sleep at all I kept tossing and turning just imagining my brother's face. Just imagining my brother was fine and he was sleeping in the next room. But I knew he wasn't. I got up and wrapped my self with my blanket. I walked over to Steve's room and knocked on the door. Steve opened the door. He wasn't wearing a shirt.
"I can't sleep." A frown came onto my face.
"Come here." He said as he pulled me into his room and onto his bed.
We layed there looking up at the ceiling.
"Do you think he's is finally worry free?"
"I think he's at peace now." Steve answers. I nod my head. "He'll never be worry free because you were his number one worry. Even in heaven he would never stop worrying about you and your safety."
"I'll do everything to make him proud." I cry.
"He knows you will." Steve turns his body over to me to hug me. We stayed silent for the rest of the night. Steve hugged me as I cried until we both fell asleep.
