"YOU ARE WHAT." I moved away from bucky way to quickly. Steve had just told Bucky that I'm a shield agent. He didn't even let me soften him up.
"Rebecca Barnes you are 16 you have to consult with me with work matters. Especially the ones that put you in danger." He runs his hand through his hair. If I wasn't wrong bucky looked like he could have a heart attack because of all the stress Steve just outed on him.
"Sergeant Barnes your sister..." Howard wanted to help me. He really did. But bucky wasnt in the mood for someone else opinion.
"Oh I'm sorry since when are you part of this family." I shut my eyes. I'm humiliated in front of Howard. I look over at Steve and he was smirking.
"You son of a... I'm not going to say the bad word because your mom was a fricken saint. May she rest in peace." I made my way towards Steve lounging myself at him. Bucky quickly turned around and caught me before I could put my hands on him. I was trying to get out of my brother grip. I dig my nails into his arms, bucky let me go wincing in pain. I took that opportunity to lounge myself again at Steve this time being gripped by the waist by Howard stopping me from doing anything stupid.
He spinned me round so I could look at him in his brown eyes.
"There no need to hurt the people who care for you." He says and I nod embarrassed.
"Okay, but this dumbass is the reason Bucky is mad at me."
"Oh I'm the reason." He smirked.
"If you would just let me talk for once I could of told him nicely." I glared at him.
"You are always talking-"
"Oh my God you are so fucking annoyi-"
We argue with each in sync.
"Will you two shut up." We both immediately shut our mouths up when we hear bucky yell at us. A mad Bucky is something no one wants to see.
"Howard you may leave. I need to talk to my sister in private. Thank you for taking her to greet me and bringing us back." I looked at Howard with a small smile. Howard looked at me in the eyes making sure I was going to be okay and I nodded my head. He nodded his head at Bucky and turns to leave.
"Thank you ." I say. He turns his head at look in my direction nodding his head at me with a smile before turning back and walking out the door. Steve goes and locks it behind him.
"Steve leave." Bucky says with a stern look.
Steve passes in front of me to go to his room.
"You're really in for it this time."
"yOUrE rEaLlY iN fOr iT shut the fuck up."
"Rebecca." Bucky warns me.
We stayed quiet until we heard Steve's door shut.
"Just because you shut the door tp your room Steve doesn't mean your in it."
"I'm in my room." Bucky stomped his feet a couple times and we heard the door open and close again indicating that Steve rushed into his room.

"Rebecca what the fuck." My brother said in a low voice. He was clearly stressed out.
"I-"
"Don't just don't I'm talking now. You know I was so proud of you." He said making my heart break a little. "All of my friends in the army hear about you all the time. Of how incredibly proud I am of my younger sister. The one who is going to be a physician."
"You only have one." I mumbled.
"Rebecca shut up." He slammed his hand on the table. I didn't even bat my eyes.
"Rebecca how could you make such a decision without consulting me. What if you would have gotten hurt or killed. Do you know what that would have done to me. I would have thought no that's not possible my sister is at home waiting for me to come home. She's perfectly safe at home. I wouldn't have thought for a second that you were in danger. Why do you think it was okay to take this job. No better yet. Why did you think it was okay to get this job without telling me."
"I-"

"You know what I'm so tired of this."
"What." My voice broke.
"I am so tired of you, of this. I should have let you stay with our relatives instead of taking you in." I looked at him with a shirt expression. It felt like my heart was being yanked from my chest. I have never been a bother to James. Until now, now that I actually show him that I can make it in the world without him.
I can survive without him .
I quickly clear my throat and push away my feelings putting on a blank expression.

"Did you sign your contact?"
"What?"
"Did you sign your contract." He looked at me confused. "Your contract with shield. Did you sign your contract to work along side steve?"
"Why do you-."
"It's a yes or no question James. Did you sign it?" A smile started to creep onto my face.
"Yes." My smile disappeared.

"Than that is no way to be speaking to your boss Sergent Barnes." I said with a blank expression. Trying to keep no expression on my face was hard after everything James just said. All I wanted to do was cry. I knew if I cried he won and i couldn't give him that satisfaction.
"What?"
"The military is under Howard's, Peggy's and my command. I am your superior. I am your boss. Howard made sure I was."

"You are 16 Rebecca you are not qualified to me my boss you dont know a single thing about what I do." He runs his hand through his hair.

"I'd be damned if I have to follow your command."
"You will be damned and dishonored if you don't follow my command."
"I'll follow my captain's command before I follow yours." He fought.
"Your captain can't move a finger if it's not for my command. So please brother don't make me the villain your story."
"You don't know a thing about the military."
"Well that's when your wrong. I always silently hear your story's about the your adventures. You underestimate me brother. You always have. I know what I'm doing."
"Is your brain doing the thinking or is your body?" I glared at him
"What are you trying to say James." I get closer to him. He doesnt say a word. Guilt instantly build up in his face. "Do you think I fucked my way to where I am?"I question.
"Do you think a woman can't maintain power without a man behind her watching her every move." I moved closer to him with the biggest glare on my face
"N-no."
"Good." I smile and back away. "Now get with the program sergeant Barnes." I go and kiss his cheek. "I'm going with Howard and peggy on Monday to get our hands on some new metal called Vibranium."
"Becca." He says not wanting me to go.
"Bucky I've done far more dangerous things than this." I said looking at his direction.
"Its just I don't want you to get hurt Becca. What kind of brother would I be of I didn't worry about your safety."
"The brother that said if I was thinking with my mind or my vigin-"
"Okaaaay i worry about you okay." He says hugging me.
"Oh so were not going to talk how you basically called a sl"
"No no we are not. It wasn't my proudest moment." He let's go.
I look at him with a with a face.
"What's with the face?"
"Whats with th-no no I cant do it why do you think I'm sleeping around?"
"Its just Howard stark has a reputation."
"Howard has flirted with me yes, but he's never once made me feel unsafe when I'm around him. Even more than that he protected me when the incident at the laboratory when Stevie became just Steve. He shielded me from the bomb. He protected me from getting hurt.Howard is just great." I say. "But it hurt that you would think of me that way. I'm your sister." I say sitting down on a chair.
"I'm sorry." He says sitting down on another chair. "I just got mad."
"You are always mad." I roll my eyes. We sat there in silence.
"So my little sister is going to be my boss."
"Mhmmm get used to it brother." I joke at him."I'm the boss now." He let's out a laugh.
"Dear lord.. please end my misery." He jokes.
I ended up telling him about my contract with shield and what it entitles.
"You do know what this means right." He had a huge grin on his face.
"Yeah yeah I'll start paying bills." I roll my eyes causing him to laugh. He comes over to me and raises his hand.
I give him a weak highfive.
"We are a team now."
"We've always been a team Jamie. It's just been you and me."
"I understand that but now we're a equally paying bills team." He jokes.
I gave him a look before walking towards my room.
"We're a dream team. You can't deny that anymore Becca." He screams through out the house I roll my eyes and let out a little laugh before shutting the door of my room.
