Chapter 6
Gauri took a deep breath staring at her reflection in the ladies' common washroom. She stepped out once she was sure she looked presentable enough. She noticed Viddhi looking at her suspiciously.
"Is everything okay?" She asked as Gauri walked closer to her.
"Yeah, had to pee badly," Gauri stated an excuse. "Let's go shall we?"
"Yeah, better not be late again. Do you think Omkara will be an easy-going manager?" Gauri tried not to evidently express her annoyance at the mention of the name. She wondered if she should tell Viddhi that her room was right next to their manager's. Better not, it would only complicate things.
"Hey, sweethearts!" They heard a raspy flirtatious voice behind them. Smiling at each other they stopped until the person caught up with them. Tushaar Bhalla. A handsome, funny, flirtatious man with the image of a guy next door. He was always hitting on Gauri. Gauri knew it was just harmless flirting and never really bothered. But Viddhi took it to be her serious duty to check on his flirting. She always reprimanded Gauri for encouraging him. Gauri, however, had immense fun flirting back. She could never really date a guy. Her family was super orthodox when it came to things like that. So, when, Tushaar offered some fun she always played along.
"Wow, so now Viddhi is a sweetheart too?" Gauri pouted feigning hurt.
"Well, I need to be sweet to people like Viddhi. You never know when I need favors from toppers like her."
"I can relate to that!" Gauri smirked playfully turning to Viddhi who threw daggers at her. Gauri did pretty well. But Viddhi was a genius.
"Gauri, now we are working. Our data is still pending. So is our night out." Tushaar complained. He knew very well that Gauri came from a very orthodox family and had high principles. He nonetheless enjoyed the playful flirting with her.
"Baby, a night out isn't happening in this birth." Gauri pouted. "But I guess, a coffee date can. Viddhi, would you like to third-wheel?"
"Shut up Gauri. And Tushaar, why don't you explore the place around. Never know when you might actually find a girl who will really be interested in you. Spare me and Gauri!" Saying that Viddhi dragged Gauri to the first row of chairs.
Gauri turned to wave at him while he blew a kiss her way. She giggled turning around. The moment her eyes rested on the tall, handsome, person standing near the projector her smile faded. His deep dark eyes looking intently at her. Her cheeks heated up remembering their brief, very intimate, encounter in the car. She looked away and made her way to the corner seat only to hear her friend's reprimanding whisper. "Gauri, where are you going?"
"Shut up and sit here!" She whispered back to her friend.
"We won't be able to see the projector from here." Viddhi reasoned
"Who cares. This isn't your favorite professor's class." Gauri whisper-yelled.
"So is everyone here?" Rohit's voice made all the intern in the room to occupy the nearest chair. Viddhi sat on the chair disappointment evident.
"Welcome to Archs and Style. Let's not waste much of our time. We will split you up into teams..." Rohit began. Bitten by the curious cat, Gauri moved forward and turned her head to see what Mr. Lambu was up to. He was busy typing something on his phone. Why was she even expecting him to look up at her?

Gauri was extremely disappointed. Viddhi and her had been assigned, different teams. Luckily, Tushaar and her were on the same team. They were the only two interns given to that team. They had all been directed to their team guides. Their team guide was Natasha. She was a tall, seemingly very professional lady in her late twenties perhaps. A face was sweet. She had jet black straight hair that stopped a little below her shoulders. She wore framed glasses that made her look adorable. Gauri hoped she was nice to her. She could already say Tushaar had heart eyes for her.
