The Meeting...

THIRD PERSON POV:

The Lord of the Skies announced, “Now, we shall start the meeting as everyone has arrived.” Athena was next to speak, “Today we shall discuss the prophecy that was given by our Oracle recently as everyone is present here. Hereupon, I ask our Oracle, Ms. Rachel to step up and read out the prophecy to us.” Rachel did as she was told.

Seven demigods and the Sun travel east,

To the lands where wine had to accept defeat.

Tricks come handy where fire fails,

The sea is trapped so darkness prevails.

The son of light gets a clue,

But ill-luck befalls them out of blue.

Doors of Death lead to Hell,

The questers are warned by the last bell.

Death must fight all his fears,

Wisdom makes a choice while in tears.

Seas set free – a fight is won,

But Leto’s son had broken an oath forsworn.

The future of the Gods does alight,

On the choice made by the Sun during the fight.

It may seem that now the world is at peace,

The Sun is lost and world is full of disease.

An army formed at the chance of future threats,

The Sun is found before he bends.

The Pit and the Dark try again to arise,

But the Eight make them pay the price.

Betrayal never leaves the Seas,

But will at last find his peace.

At last over the land, peace prevails,

And Olympus cheers with the marriage bells.

Athena continued after her, “Now, I will be giving my description. If anyone has any doubts, they can ask later. Please don’t interrupt me and answer my questions truthfully as the future of Olympus depends upon it.” The goddess of Wisdom cleared her throat and started her speculation.

“According to the first line, it's clear that seven demigods are to go on this quest along with Apollo. Now, for the first time, a different land is mentioned. And that too is east. Now, Dionysus, would you mind to tell us where you accepted defeat during you ventures in the old days?"

The youngest olympian rubbed the back of his neck as he said, "India. It was tremendously tiring fighting against those brahmins. They are seriously more intelligent in warfare than Athena herself."

The Goddess of wisdom continued, "Ok, so it's clear that they will be going to India. Now we need to choose the demigods who will be going on this quest. As mentioned, the demigods precisely are - tricks, fire, sea, light, death and wisdom. So the powers corresponds to Hermes, Hephaestus, Poseidon, Apollo, Hades and me. That means our children will be the ones to go on this quest. Now we need to choose who goes. First I would like to ask Chiron for his opinion."

The old centaur bowed and explained his opinion, "According to my humble opinion, for the children of Lord Hermes, I personally suggest the Stoll twins who are also the Head counsellors of the Hermes cabin. For the children of Lord Hephaestus, Leo should be the one as he is the Head counsellor of the Hephaestus cabin who has proved himself multiple times. Percy is the only child of the Lord of the Sea. Will and Malcolm are the best choices for the rest, Apollo and Athena cabins. These children have proven themselves before as well and I, as their mentor, believe that they will be able to handle this quest."

Athena sighed, "I guess Chiron is correct. If anyone present here disagrees, there are free to express their concern." No one disagreed to Chiron's opinion and the rest of the meeting ended quite quickly as their discussion was over. At the end, it was decided that the above mentioned demigods and Apollo would be given a week before leaving for their quest as Hades could sense that the Doors of Death would be opening about twelve days from then and India was a completely different land for them. So, they should leave as soon as possible.
