I went to bed that night and Dylan still wasn't back. Even though the worry was in my mind, the thought of him wanting to mate was bothering me.

I would love nothing better than to be happy and stay in a place to build my life. But the possibility of that happening had been long gone the moment I ran away from home.

I felt someone creeping around the room right when I started dozing off.

My wolf immediately became alert and I sat up to look at the shadow standing next to the window.

"You're awake," Dylan said, sounding on edge.

"It's late, but I was worried about you," I replied. I sat up on the bed and rested my back on the headboard of the bed.

"I know you're hiding something from me," Dylan said, as he walked closer to the bed.

"I'm practically hiding everything from you. We just met a week ago, and we don't exactly talk much."

"It's not that. I know it's something else."

As soon as Dylan reached the bed and leaned into me I smelt the alcohol in his breath.

It was strong, but I knew he wasn't fully drunk. It would take a lot of alcohol to make a werewolf drunk, let alone an Alpha.

"You've been drinking. Just come to bed and we'll talk about it tomorrow," I told him, placing a hand on his cheek, trying to calm him down.

"You're mine," Dylan said, as he put one hand around my waist. He was strong, so it took no effort on his part to lay me down and place himself on top of me.

"What are you doing?" I asked Dylan, knowing what might come if I didn't control him. I could see Dylan's wolf in his eyes. They were a darker shade of blue and were slowly turning black.

"I'm simply claiming what is rightfully mine."

I put my hands on his chest and tried to move him away, but he simply grabbed each of my hands on one of his and put them over my head.

My wolf wasn't in the least bit worried about what was happening. She wanted this- she wanted to finally belong to him.

Dylan kissed me on the lips. I didn't respond at first but his lips started moving around mine forcefully. Unconsciously, I started kissing him back.

I was fighting an inside battle with my wolf, but every second that passed, I slowly felt my wolf winning.

When Dylan felt that I stopped fighting him, he let go of my hands and placed them on either side of my head.

He was holding himself up, placing all his weight on his arms.

"I'm not going to force you to do anything," Dylan said, as he looked into my eyes.

"It doesn't look like that," I replied, as I felt a tear roll down my cheek. I hadn't noticed my vision had been blurry with tears.

"But, I am going to mark you."

Before I had time to react to his words, Dylan swiftly nestled his head in my neck. Once again he held my hands, but this time they were on my sides.

Dylan licked the area before he bit down with more force than necessary.

I yelled out in pain and felt his hold on my wrist tighten. When he was done, he sat down, and placed me on his lap.

I wasn't crying dramatically, but tears were spilling from my eyes. I could still feel the throbbing from his bite but I didn't dare touch it.

"Shh... The pain will go away," Dylan told me as he cradled me.

Not knowing what else to do, I let him hold me and nestled my head on his neck, wanting to be comforted by him.

Even my wolf felt the pain, but her connection with Dylan now was greater than it had been before. All she wanted was to be held by Dylan and nothing else.

I woke up the next day with slight pain on my neck. When I tried to sit up, Dylan's arm was securely wrapped around my waist.

For some reason, I was feeling emotional. The memories of last night came rushing back to me. I thought about Dylan holding me down and claiming me by force.

My wolf wasn't helpful. She was happy about being connected to Dylan in another way. If it were up to her, Dylan and me would have mated the first day we met.

Tears unconsciously started rolling down my cheeks and I felt lost. Dylan stirred in his sleep and his arm pressed me closer to his body.

"What time is it?" Dylan asked, as he sat up.

I didn't turn to face him and tried not to move, wanting to pretend I was still asleep. Unfortunately, he moved closer to kiss my cheek and noticed I was crying.

"Princess, what's wrong?" Dylan sat up and moved me around to sit me on his lap.

I couldn't control the sob that escaped my lips. Dylan pressed me closer to him and tried to soothe me.

"Tell me what's wrong. Did someone do something to you?"

I wrapped my arms around his neck, trying to find a way to calm myself down. I couldn't explain what was happening to me. The first thing that came to my mind was the mark.

I didn't know if Dylan claiming me had stirred my emotions, but I felt vulnerable. Being in Dylan's arms seemed to help, but now I didn't want him to let go of me.

"Baby, I need to know what's wrong," Dylan said gently, as he stroked my hair. I had my head resting on his chest, but after he said that, I looked up at him.

He was looking at me with a pained expression. I got on my knees and straddled him, trying to put myself at his same height.

Even while we were sitting down, he was bigger than me. He wrapped his arms around my waist and looked at me with a confused expression.

I wasn't crying anymore but my eyes were still blurry and I was sure they were red and puffy.

"Leila, please talk to me," Dylan pleaded, looking defeated.

I brought my lips onto his and started kissing him softly. He responded after the initial shock. I was still on my knees straddling him, so he pressed me closer. I deepened the kiss, enjoying us being intimate in some way.

Dylan started taking charge of the kiss as his tongue slipped into my mouth. He lowered his hands, placing them on my butt and tried to move me on top of him as he lay down on the bed.

My hormones were going crazy and I had to take control of the situation, even though it was hard.

It felt amazing to be like that with Dylan. My wolf was howling with joy, begging me not to stop until I was fully mated with him.

Suddenly, Dylan moved us so that he was on top of me, his weight resting on his arms. He didn't break the kiss as he was doing this. One of his hands was running along the side of my waist.

Dylan's lips released mine, and he started trailing small kisses on my jaw until he reached my neck.

He ran his thumb along the mark he had made, which proved his claim on me.

I shuddered in response and noticed Dylan's gaze on me. I put my hands on his chest and pushed him away.

Normally, it would've been harder, but I caught him off guard. I sat up and rested my back on the headboard of the bed.

"What's wrong?" Dylan asked with a husky voice. The bulge in his pants showed how excited he was and his eyes were darker than their usual shade of blue.

"I'm not ready for us to mate yet," I told him, almost in a whisper.

I tried to fix up my shirt and somewhat make my hair presentable.

"I understand. I know last night must've been tough on you," Dylan said.

"Why did you do it?" I asked him, with an accusing tone.
