After getting fully dressed, Dylan pecked me on the lips and left downstairs. I felt unsettled by having him away from me.

When he said that other people would notice what we were doing, I didn't really want to insist on accompanying him.

Dylan was going to say his goodbye's to the pack and his parents, and then we would be on our way home.

I got off from the bed and started gathering my clothes. It didn't take long to get dressed and Dylan still wasn't back.

I took that time to start looking around his room. Before I ran away, Dylan had told me he'd been living alone since he graduated high school.

Now that I was back, and willing to work things out between us, I had more interest in everything about him.

I had only been allowed to attend school until I finished eighth grade. Once my high school years came along, my father decided it was better if I got home schooled.

I was always envious of everyone who went to school and was able to make friends.

The only friends I had were from my trainings. Even then, there were only a few guys who I talked to. Hardly any girls were interested in trainings.

The girls who did train- had no interest in being friends with me.

Girls on instinct shied away from me. Alpha Jackson had two sons, and they didn't have problems making friends. I, on the other hand, struggled to keep the ones I had.

Being the Beta's daughter somehow made girls repel from me because they feared my family and Alpha Jackson.

While I was lost in thought of memories from my other pack, I'd walked up to a shelf full of trophies and ribbons.

As I moved closer to see what they read, I noticed most were from soccer matches and something called UIL. I didn't know what most of the things meant, but they were all first place awards.

Clearly I recognized photos where Dylan was standing with other guys and they were holding trophies. He had about four photos, all in which he looked somewhat different that how he did now.

Compared to then- where his features seemed playful and relaxed- now they were hardened and serious.

On the very top shelf, he has an aisle of books. I couldn't reach them because they were too high, but it was easy to see they were a variety of dictionaries and encyclopedias.

I was about to reach for a plaque that was in the wall, next to the shelf, when I heard Dylan coming. I turned toward the door and a few seconds later, he walked in.

"Hey," I said, smiling at him.

He looked up and gave me a dazzling smile. Even though his room was dimmed, his eyes almost glowed in the darkness.

I walked closer to him. He remained still, staring at me as I approached him. Once I was close enough, I wrapped my arms around his neck, while his went on my waist.

"It's been a long day," I said, keeping my gaze on him.

"I know. But, it'll be alright. Don't worry," he said, tucking a strand of my hair behind my ear.

His fingers trailed the side of my face, down to my neck, and slowly passed my breast, until finally settling on my back.

I felt the electricity run from him to me, through the small contact he was making with his fingers.

"Should we go home?" Dylan asked, with a glint in his eyes.

I let out a chuckle, knowing what he was thinking.
