We landed in a heap on the floor. Dylan didn't look phased by having me shift and attack him.
He even looked like he was enjoying himself. I growled in his face, wanting him to take me seriously. It wasn't like he couldn't at least pretend to be scared.
He was under me, but I felt his arms restraining most of my body.
It was pissing my Wolf off to no end. How was it that even in his human form, Dylan was stronger than me?
"Shift back," Dylan ordered, pushing me off of him.
I shook my head, growling once again.
"If you don't, I'm going to shift. Trust me, you won't like me making your Wolf shift back by force," Dylan threatened, his voice sounding cool and collected.
My Wolf snapped at him because of his words. She was calling all the shots, and I could only see as she went again to attack Dylan.
She raised her paw to hurt Dylan. I knew she didn't want to do it either, but Dylan was disrespecting her and she wasn't having that.
Dylan didn't seem to react fast enough because her paw barely grazed his cheek, but it was enough to cut through his skin.
He growled loudly at me, and I was sure it wasn't out of pain. His eyes shifted to a black color, and his Wolf seemed at bay.
"Shift back Leila. Now!" He ordered, his imposing voice causing me to step back.
I didn't shift back though. I was trying, but I couldn't. My Wolf was still in charge.
I went at him again. Not trying to hurt him, but wanting him to see we weren't as weak as he thought we were.
The moment I landed on him, he pushed me away and shifted into his own Wolf. His significantly bigger form landed over mine, pinning me down.
We could both communicate through our mind link, but I feared what he would tell me. He didn't seem to want to talk either.
He was growling at me, forcing me to see that he was the Alpha. I needed to back down.
Slowly but surely, my Wolf gave up. The power Dylan's Wolf had over us was overwhelming. His dark eyes were staring into mine, making me ashamed of how I'd reacted.
I might have been Luna of the pack, but Dylan was right. He was the Alpha.
I lowered my gaze, and turned my head to the side. Dylan was trying to make me look at him, but I didn't want to. I let my body go loose, waiting for him to get off me and be happy that I had bowed down to him.
It didn't take long for him to catch on to what I was doing. Slowly, he started getting off of me. While he was doing that, his eyes remained glued to my form.
Once he was a few feet away from me, I made my way to the closet. I was glad the door was slightly ajar. I pushed it open the rest of the way and walked in.
As soon as I was in the room, I shifted back and shut the door.
Dylan didn't make a move to try and stop me, or come after me. It wasn't like I could exactly do anything from the closet and he knew that.
I stood in the room, completely naked. The clothes I had been wearing before were ripped to shreds. All my clothes were there, in the closet- but I took some moments to breath before searching for anything.
I was dressed and ready to leave after five minutes, but I heard Dylan's breathing on the other side of the door.
He had been trying to enter my mind but I kept blocking him out again and again.
"We'll talk to him," I heard Dylan say.
I didn't understand what he meant with that, but I assumed he was referring to my dad.
"It's not a matter for us to fight about. To me, he's still the enemy. He belongs to another pack, one that wants to attack us," Dylan kept talking.
I finally opened the door, my eyes starting to get watery.
Dylan had put on a pair of shorts, but he had left his chest bare. It was almost distracting to look at him because he was standing there, half naked.
"I used to belong to that pack," I told him softly.
"Yes, but now you don't. It wouldn't matter if you did, because you're different. You are my mate."
"He doesn't want to attack us Dylan. What do you expect him to do? He's Alpha Jackson's Beta. It's not like he can abandon the pack," I told Dylan, walking the short steps between us, and getting in his arms.
"I know. That's why you will talk to him. Tell him that if he wants, he and your mom can leave Jackson's pack and join ours," Dylan said.
"Really?" I asked, pulling away from him to see if he really meant what he said.
"If he does decide to do that, I would have to speak with him first though."
"Why?" I asked, confused.
"I need to know I can trust him. And I'll be honest with you about the possibility of him joining our pack. I don't want you getting your hopes up," he said, looking down at me with a serious expression.
"He might say no because he's been the Beta for Staten Pack for a while. If he comes here, he will just be a member of the pack," Dylan finished.
I stayed quiet, letting his words sink in. I knew my dad. Even now I found it hard to believe he would leave Alpha Jackson's side, but I could only hope.
I had been wondering where Blake was all day. The afternoon went by and he didn't show up again at the house. I thought Dylan might have made him stay away, but he seemed distracted by something else.
Whenever I tried to ask him, he just told me not to worry about it.
It was almost 8:00 at night when there was a knock on the door. I had been in the living room watching TV and Dylan was in his office, "taking care of pack business", as he'd said.
"I'll get it," I called out, knowing Dylan would hear me from wherever he was in the house.
I was barely reaching the door, but I already felt Blake's presence on the other side. It made me run faster to get to it.
"Where have you been all day?" I asked, excited to see him. He gave me his usual Blake grin, and took a step inside the house.
"Even if I'm away, I still have a duty back home. I was getting filled in on what was going on in the pack. I also wanted to give you and Dylan enough time to talk," Blake said the last part seriously.
"C'mon. Let's go to the kitchen," I told him, making my way there.
It was already late, but we hadn't eaten since earlier in the day. I was starting to get hungry and Dylan must've been the same.
