Chapter 14

As I'm braiding my soaking wet hair Peeta's perfect face appears in my head. Oh, how I miss his perfect blue eyes that makes me melt every time I look into them. When he says my name how my heart skips a beat. Anything he does makes me turn to rust. Like I'm stuck in place, lost for words or I can't breath. What if Gale has already killed him. What if Gale is just going to kidnap me when we get there and keep me locked up forever. If he kills Haymitch then there's nobody that will know where I am. They proberly wouldn't come looking for me either because they think I cheated on Peeta. If Gale does kill Peeta then I'm killing myself so I can be with Peeta again. After I die then maybe people will believe that I did love Peeta with all my heart. But I hope I can get us both back alive and maybe when people saw that I was trying to get Peeta back then they might think that I do love him. I can only hope for the second option.

I walk out of the bathroom and back into the living room where Haymitch sits flipping through channels on TV. " there's no time for TV we have to go." I order. Haymitch looks up at me and puts one finger up meaning 'one minute'. I sigh and go sit by him on the couch. Haymitch keeps flipping for a few more seconds before clicking a channel. I couldn't see what it was because he clicked it too fast. As it pops up on the screen I see he picked the news. " why the news?" I ask.

" just watch okay." I turn my attention back to the TV and see it's another thing about me cheating. Great just great! Sarcasm.

"So Joe I hear you have some new interesting things to add about how Katniss is acting after she cheated on the amazing fabulous Peeta Mellark." says an annoying news reporter. I think I can guess who's side she's on.

" that's right Jill. It seems that Catpiss was spotted getting on a train and we are pretty sure that she was going to District 8." MY NAME IS KATNISS! NOT CATPISS!!

" Joe your so funny her name is Katniss not Catpiss!" Jill laughs. " also Katniss and Peeta in the same District will not be good." Jill adds.

" no not good at all! I think there will be a CAT fight there and who knows maybe Katniss will have to take a PISS before the fight!" Joe and Jill laugh for a long time. Gosh they are acting like 4 year olds! I look over at Haymitch and see he's smiling! How can he think that's funny! They're making fun of me!

" how can you think that's funny!" I yell at him.

" it is a little funny." he says. I glare at him.

"can we just go now?" I beg. Haymitch nods and shuts off the TV. We walk toward the front door and when I feel the cold air all around me I shiver. We get to the train station in a few minutes and climb aboard. "so how many stops do we have to make till we stop in District 2?" I ask.

" we have to make a stop in District 5 and that's it." That brightens my mood.

" so what's our plan this time, considering the last plan won't work now?" Haymitchs looks down.

" why don't we go sit down and figure all this out?" He suggests. I nod and he starts to walk. It feels like were still on the train to District 8 considering I'm still getting glares from every direction. We enter the diner and to my liking the whole place is filled! Hint the sarcasm.

" look it's full. can we go somewhere else?" I really want to get out of here, I don't want to get anymore glares or rude things said to me. Haymitch points to a table at the back that just happens to be empty! " please Haymitch can we just go somewhere else." I whine. He shakes his head, grabs ahold of my wrist and drags me over to the table. When we get there he pulls out a chair,

" sit." He instructs. As much as I don't want to I obey. He takes a set on the other side of the table and fiddles with his fingers. When he still hasn't said anything I look around and see almost everyone looking at me, glaring at me or both and whispering. They are all whispering too low for me to hear but the table in front of us is loud enough. There are four woman that look around the age of 30-40 years old. There is a blond, red head and two brunets.

" do you think it's really true?" The blond whispers. The red head looks at her funny.

" of course it's true! I mean why else who she be here with Haymitch?" Red head exclaims.

" I don't think it's true." Both brunets say at the same time. How did they do that. I look closer at them. Now that I get a closer look at them they look like twins. Huh, maybe they have some sort of twin power and they know what the other is going to say next. Then again how would I know I'm not a twin. " why don't you just ask?" Brunets say at the same time again. Oh no, I have a feeling they're going to come over here. I turn my head and look out a window on the other side of the train. Right after I make that turn there's a tap on my shoulder. Turning around I see Haymitch has finally stop fiddling with his fingers and is now looking at our guests. As I expected I see the four woman standing in front of me.

" hello Katniss. It's nice to see you." The blond says.

" hi, umm do I know you?" I ask.

" oh how rude of me, my name is Mell, this is " she points to the red head "  

Chloe and the twins are Mia and Maya." I shake there hands, they don't shake Haymitch's hand but they do smile at him.

" is there anything you ladies needed?" Haymitch asks.

" oh yes there is! We would just like to know if the thing Peeta said awhile ago about you not being his girlfriend anymore is true?" Mell asks. They all look at me including Haymitch and I sigh.

" honestly I'm not sure. I hope it wasn't true because I still do love him."

" then why did you cheat on him?" Chloe asks.

" I didn't cheat on him. Gale just wanted to talk to me and then he was the one who kissed me not the other way around and I tried to push him off me but he was too heavy." I explain. Mia and Maya look at eachother for a moment before Maya speaks,

" then if you didn't kiss him then why did Peeta leave you?"

" I don't know." I confess. Mia who hasn't said anything yet shocked me when she spoke,

" does he still have those flashback things? 'cause maybe that's why he left." I can't believe I never thought about that!

" he doesn't but he does get something like that where he doesn't trust me and can't believe anything I say."

" wait, didn't he say extactly ' I can't trust you anymore'?" Haymitchs asks.

" yeah he did!" I exclaim. How could I have been so stupid! " he was in one of those flashback side effects!" The train suddenly comes to a halt.

" well this is our stop. good luck to getting Peeta back!" Mell yells while all four of them walk away. I look back at Haymitch,

" well what is our plan?"

" first things first you need some rest so your ready to fight if you have to." I open my mouth to object but he adds" I will wake you up an hour before we get there so we can think of a plan." He stands up and grabs my wrist. He pulls me all the way to the bedrooms and pushes me into one. " sweet dreams sweetheart" he closes the door. I curl up on the bed and fall asleep in minutes. Although I didn't know what to expect either a dream, nightmare or nothing.

But the next chapter will be when i get home from school i dont know when i just know a new chapter will be up later:)
