Stay with me? Forever or Never?(hunger games fourth book)

Chapter 17

"by the way you never have told me your name." I say. She laughs.

"my name's Rea." She extends he hand out to me. I shake her hand and she stands up "come on we better get going." I nod and stand up.

"so where do we start?" I ask. She puts her finger up to her chin and taps her finger a few times before she answers,

"I know just where to start! follow me." She starts walking ahead of me and I follow her. She's a fast walker so I'm mostly behind her. 

"you wanna slow down just a bit?" She looks back at me and stops walking for me to catch up. Once I get to her side she starts walking again but slower than before. "so how old are you?" I ask.

"20 and your 22 right?" she replies. I nod. We walk for another 20 minutes or something like that.

"how much longer." I whine. She looks at me and rolls her eyes. 

"stop your whining your acting like a kid! and not much farther." she says. How far is not much farther though? Ok so maybe I am starting to sound like a kid. I don't saying anything after that and neither does she. I have my head down looking at my feet as they take each step forward. I keep doing this for another few minutes before I see her feet stop. I stop walking too and look up at her raising my eyebrows. "were here." She says while pointing her finger at a small sized house that's one floor. It is brown with a white door and white outlining the two windows on the front of the house. There is a little path way leading up to the door that's made out of stones. There are also a few flowers planted so that they outline the sides of the house. It looks welcoming but then again who knows. How could Gale live here? It looks welcoming and he is not at all welcoming. Rea starts to walk to the front door and I follow her. She opens the door and we walk in. "check all the rooms." I nod and we go in different directions.

I open the first door and it looks like a little girl's room. It's purple and there a bed with a bright pink blanket on it. I can already say that this is not Gale's house. I walk back to what I'm guessing is the living room and wait for Rea. A minute later she comes into the room.

"find anything?" she asks.

"nope, but what I can say is that this is not Gale's house." 

"yeah, I found a boy's room and I guess that Gale wouldn't have kids if he's obsessed with you." she laughs. I sigh and glare at her. "ok ok bad time. we should get going." We walk out the door and she takes the lead again.

"where are we going this time?" I ask. Rea looks back at me before sighing and stops walking. I catch up and she starts walking again.

"were going somewhere in town." she answers.

"how many more places do you have in mind?"

"there's this one were going to and then another one."

"and what if they are not in any of them?"

"then this might take longer than it needs to." We walk in silence the rest of the way there. I know when we reach the house because again she stops and points to it. This time the house looks more alive. We walk closer and when I hear voices I pull Rea and me to the ground. We sit under the window for a few minutes before Rea whispers," we have to do something. one of us has to look."

"but what is we get caught?" I ask.

"make a run for it. on three, one... two....three!" We both look threw the window and I see a woman that looks about 50 something and a man  the looks about 50 something too. The woman starts to turn around so I pull Rea's hair without thinking so that were both under the window again. I let go of Rea's hair and she rubs the spot on her head where I pulled her hair. "ouch! you have a strong grip." she yells. 

"shhhh!" I say panicky. " we don't want them coming out here." I whisper. She nods and we crawl to the side so that were not under the window anymore. We stand up and this time she doesn't take the lead. We walk for about ten minutes before she speaks,

"Katniss can I ask you something?"

"sure what is it?"

"when did you realize that you were in love with Peeta? because you didn't fool me when you were in the 74th hunger games."

"it was in the Quarter Quell when he hit the force field with the knife he had and died."

"I remember that." she says.

"why did you want to know?" I ask.

"I was just wondering." I nod and we walk in silence again. I look down and kick rocks as I walk. " were here." Rea says. I look up and and start to walk towards the house. I hear someone scream and I stop dead in my tracks. I know that voice too well.

ok so i would have posted this earlier but i kind of forgot about it. i just remembered about it like half an hour ago. i might update sunday or monday. VOTE, COMMENT bye:)
