Chapter 6

ok so instead of me keep writing who's pov I'm just going say that this story is all katniss' pov and if it's not her pov i will tell you.

The kiss was soft and sweet. I didn't want it to end but it had to. I pulled away slowly and kissed his cheek quick. I brushed his hair back off his forehead and kissed his forehead. I smiled at him and he smiled back at me. The door opened and my mom and Prim came in.

"how you feeling Peeta?" mom asks.

"better than before." he answers. I smile at that.

"why did Gale shoot you?" I ask. Peeta looks at me and sighs.

" he came up to me and asked where you were, i asked him what he wanted, he said he wanted to talk to you but i said that he couldn't, so he took a gun and shot me." he explains. I got angry why the heck would Gale shoot Peeta just because he said that he couldn'ttalk to me.

"I'm going to kill Gale." I mutter. Peeta looks at me and shakes his head.

"no. I don't want to get news saying that Gale killed you. Don't try to kill him at least not yet." Peeta pleads.

"he's right Katnissnow is not the time to kill him." Prim says. I know they are right but I have one last option. I look at my mom and she shakes her head.

"I agree with them Katniss now is not the time." I sigh in defeat.

"fine I'll wait to kill him." i say. They smile at me but this time i don't smile back. I wish i could just kill Gale and get it over with. He has just been a pain in my ass lately. Man, I really hate him! I know that the rebellion was 2 years ago but still he threw a knife at my own sister! He knew how much she meant to me and i thought he loved her like a sister but i guess I was wrong. I don't even know why I became friends with him in the first place. Well I actually do know why we became friends and hunting partners but that was a big mistake. I should of just left his stupid snares alone! My mom clears her throat snapping me out of my daydream.

"I'm going to check on something I'll be back in a minute." she announces and walkes out of the door leaving Peeta, Prim and me.

"Prim I never asked how you were. How are you?" i ask.

"I'm good but i have a question for both you and Peeta." she smiles. I nod at her to continue. "are you guys ever going to get married?" she asks. Leave it to Prim to ask that. I mean I would love to marry Peeta but i don't know if he wants to marry me.

"Prim I'm going to answer this truthfully. I would love to marry Katniss but does she want to marry me is the real question." he answers. Him and Prim look at me waiting for my answer. I blush and nod. Peeta smiles and Prim starts jumping up and down. Peeta laughs at her and I laugh with him.

"ok ok you guys make out or whatever while I watch for mom." Prim screams and runs out the door. I look at Peeta and he looks at me.

"were you kidding when you said you wanted to marry me?" I ask. He shakes his head.

"were you?" he asks. I shake my head. " should we do what Prim said to do?" he asks. I smile and nod. He smirks. I climb onto the bed and lay next to him. I wrap my arms around his neck and he wraps his around my waist. We lean in towards each other until our lips meet. It was soft and sweet just like the last one. I slid my hands up into his hair and tangle them in his hair. After about a minute or two of kissing we have to stop to catch our breath. We were about to kiss again when Prim comes in.

"mom's coming!" she screams. I quickly untangle myslef from Peeta and hop back into the chair next to the bed. Mom comes in carrying the clipboard she had earlier. She looks threw a few things before she says

"It looks like you can go home today Peeta." she smiles. "you just have to sign a few things." she includes. Peeta nods and hops off the bed following my mom and Prim with me holding his hand next to him. My mom leads us down to the main office where she tells us to stay while her and Prim go and get the sheets to sign.

"I'm happy your ok." I whisper. Peeta kisses the top of my head. My mom comes out of the office with Prim behind her. They hand sheets to Peeta to sign. He signs them all in two minutes.

"Katniss since your checking him out you need to sign some papers too." mom says while Prim hands me 3 sheets. Wow only 3 Peeta had like 20! I sign them all in less than a minute and hug my mom and Prim good-bye.

"I'll come visit soon." I promise to them.
