Albert Troxley seemed to be a very strange man with a white beard that ended by his chest. He had a green hat with a slight point in the end aiming at his left side. He had green robes and seemed to be the oldest teacher in the entire camp.
The classroom was on a treehouse and had normal school desks that were wide enough for two people. On the desks were copies of a book called, Albert Troxley's Guide to Monsterology.
"Good afternoon, class," Troxley greeted with a croaky voice.
The class greeted back.
"I think this subject is pretty self-explanatory. You shall not just learn when to fight monsters, but also learn how to tame one."
Lucas frowned with confusion. "Then why the hell am I here if I can't kill monsters? I want to fight beasts, not bring home pets." He thought.
"You need to know this... Not all beasts are killers. Some of them want peace and love and can be commonly misunderstood. You need to know when not to kill a beast, but also when to spare one. We want survival, not bloodshed."
Some of the campers lay back on their chairs crossing their arms. Alex and Zain seemed rather curious. Natalie, on the other hand, seemed to be more invested.
"Now, I would like for you all to turn to page 461."
Everyone obeyed. The page was all about Chimeras.
"Chimeras!" Some of the campers gasped to themselves.
"Chimeras are very unpredictable creatures. You can't tell if they want peace or bloodshed. Sometimes, if you try and tame it, one of the forms it will take is a snake and it poisons you with its venomous bite. Others of course will take the form of a lion and give you a chance to earn its trust. So they can be misunderstood yet you have to be very careful with them."
The campers turned to the next page.
"Chimeras are creatures that can shape shift into three different animals at once. Each of them represents a specific character or want. Like for example, the snake if it wants to kill with a poison, a wolf if it wants to defend their pack, an eagle if it wants to fly, even a dragon if it wants to burn its victims. When they mate, the baby can only take two forms until they are able to take forms of three after ten years of life. They stay in their born transformation based on the two forms that the mother and father mated as. If the lion mated with a leopard for example, the baby will be born as half lion and half leopard. They stay in that form for ten years until they can finally shapeshift into three animals at once; for ten years is the end of their years as a baby and would eventually leave the nest after ten years. They can be beautiful, deadly, many things. Unfortunately, there aren't as many anymore. Many existed before the meteor destroyed the world before the three cities were originated and destroyed most of them. But luckily, there is only one Chimera on this island."
