People approached and surrounded Alex with congratulations. Alex was constantly the centre of attention throughout the whole day. Nobody seemed to leave him alone; everyone didn't stop talking about him. He never felt this popular before.

Even though he got so much love and recognition from the entire camp, it still wasn't enough. He felt miserable because Zain isn't here to celebrate. Nothing would ever be the same without Zain. The crowd's love didn't mean anything to him; he just wanted his friends that had more meaning in his life. He hid the pain very well to the crowd but the only people who could see he still isn't happy through all the glory are Natalie and Lucas.

Natalie and Lucas couldn't help but stare at Alex when he is alone, pitying him; especially since Alex seemed to always want to be alone. They thought that Alex hasn't been this closed off before. Natalie and Lucas were honestly focusing on helping Alex through the mourning that they aren't giving themselves time to mourn for Zain themselves. Natalie may not have known Zain the same way Alex did; for she only knew him for two years which wasn't enough especially since she wasn't around him as much anymore. Lucas honestly was angry at himself because all he ever did was hurt Zain. Lucas felt so guilty that he didn't know how to admit it to himself because it was just too painful; too painful to be the one person that Zain would want to forget.

The camp may be loud, but the trio were silent.

The camp was slumbering through the cold night. It was quiet enough for crickets to be heard.

Alex creeped out of the tent as quietly as he can; but he didn't escape easily.

"Alex," Lucas whispered, "What are you doing? Where are you going?"

"I can't tell you," Alex replied, "Now go back to sleep."

"Like that is gonna make me go back to sleep," Lucas got up.

"No Lucas! Go back to bed!"

"Not until you tell me where you are going."

"Okay but you gotta keep this a secret."

Lucas felt even more suspicious. It was obvious to him that this is one of Alex's idiotic plans, "If you say so," Lucas rolled his eyes.

"A hag gave me a skull and told me to go and steal a dagger from Barlows's office and travel to a temple deep in the jungle to retrieve a goblet. These three items are called Resurrecters; they can resurrect the dead once brought together."

"And you plan to resurrect Zain? I thought so." Lucas crossed his arms.

"So are you gonna rat me out or come with me?" Alex asked.

Lucas sighed, "I might as well come with you."
