Immunity Fire

Chapter 27

"Alex!" Natalie came back with Lucas at her side. "We've gotta get out of here! Zain wouldn't have wanted you to stay here; he would have wanted you to win."

"I can't! I'm not worthy!"

"Zain didn't think so; none of us did. You fought for Zain and for everything you believed what's right. You have always been brave, Alex; Zain actually told me that. You inspire him to be brave; he was brave enough to sacrifice himself to save someone he loves. Zain always believed that he was always afraid; but deep down, his courage was always there waiting to be unleashed. You two survived together in a hell that people would lose themselves over; but you two had each other and that's why you are worthy enough to be here. Being brave isn't about not being afraid, it's about facing what you are afraid of; and sometimes the smallest thing done can make you brave even when you don't realize it. You lead us to survive the challenges; you fought valiantly, and had the heart for more than just yourself. I know Barlows chose you already to become our hero. Don't let him down. You can do this Alex; I know you can."

Alex looked at Zain one last time, then got up and ran through the woods. Natalie and Lucas were following him trying to keep up.

Alex sprinted through until he reached the camp with Natalie and Lucas behind him. He saw the Immunity Sword stuck in a large rock. He ran towards it without giving himself a chance to catch his breath and pulled the sword out.

The sword shone a golden light; it was brightenough to gain the camp's attention that the winner has come. Everyone got outof their practice pits and classes and tents and houses. They were blinded bythe sword's shining beauty. The crowd screamed with a massive applause. This isthe moment they have all been waiting for!
