Janaya was up, thinking about her dad. She soon had enough of being awake, but she still couldn't go to sleep. So, she went downstairs to get some water. She didn't really mind the dark, so she kept the lights off. She went into the kitchen but suddenly stopped in her tracks. She heard movements. She thought about turning around, but instead, she continued walking in the kitchen. 'Look at me, doing white girl shii.' She thought to herself.
When she got in the kitchen she ducked down, so whoever was in there wouldn't see her. When she got to where the intruder was she grabbed a rolling pin and started hitting the intruder. 'Now why did I grab a rolling pin?' She thought. (A/N: Picture of the rolling pen up top 👆🏾👆🏾👆🏾)
While Janaya was multi-tasking, thinking about her recent life choices, and hitting the intruder, the intruder was trying to get Janaya off of him. "Stop" he kept repeating. "It's me JULIAN" he stated again. Janaya suddenly stopped. Julian thought she heard him, and stopped hitting him. But she was too deep in thought about trying to find new ways around the kitchen to harm the so-called 'intruder'.
Janaya backed away from Julian and ran to go get a pan. She ran back and was about to hit Julian again, but he caught her hand before she had the chance to. 'Who is she, Repunzel?' Julian question in his head. At this point, he was also questioning his life choices. "I'm JULIAN," he said, and this time Janaya heard him loud, and clear. Julian gently took the pan out of her hand, and then gently put her hand down.
"Oh hey, didn't see you there," Janaya said, acting like she didn't just almost beat him to death. They both got what they came downstairs for, and went upstairs. Julian stopped at a random step because he was feeling someone follow him. When he turned around he almost jumped. Janaya was right behind him. He just shook his head and continued to head upstairs to his room. Once he reached the door, he realized that Janaya hadn't left his side yet.
He just shrugged his shoulders and turned, and opened his door to go in then, looked back to see if Janaya was there. She was gone. When he turned around to go into his warm comfy bed he almost screamed when he saw Janaya on his bed. She patted the space beside her. She didn't talk, because she was too tired to do so. He walked to his bed and sat down.
Janaya looked at him and rubbed her eyes, which was a clear indication to him that she was sleepy. Janaya gently pushed him back so that he could lay down on his back. When Julian complied, she laid her head on his chest. She went right to sleep, and so did Julian.
*Skip to Morning*
"Where are they?" Jahmal exclaimed. He was wondering where his brother and Janaya were. Andre just rolled his eyes. He go up from where he was sitting on the couch, and headed upstairs to go look in Janaya's room. While he was walking upstairs, the boys decided to follow him.
They wanted to see what his 'genius' idea to where to look for Julian and Janaya. They saw that their dad went to. look in Janaya's room. They all felt stupid for not having that idea as well. They all saw that Janaya's room was emptied, and started to panic. They knew that she couldn't have been anywhere else, because everyone else was looking for her except Julian. They knew that she wasn't with Julian, because he likes to stay to himself.
They all went into Julian's room, and they all had different emotions. Some were jealous, some were relieved, and some were feeling both. They were jealous because they wanted to snuggle/bond with Janaya like that, yet they were all relieved to know they were both ok. Jahmal was also feeling another emotion. He was happy that his twin was warming up to someone new and getting out of his shell a little more.
They all left the room deciding to come back in 20 minutes to wake them up. They wanted to give them a few more minutes of rest before they have to go to school.
