"Your not going home?" The dude asked me now looking at me with a questioning look. I look back at him. Who is he to question me? Not my father I'll tell you that much.

I got out of school early today to go with my dad to pick up my baby brother. We do this at least 3-4 times a month just to hang out and have fun. Like a boy's day. My mom feels left out sometimes, but when we asked her to join she just says that it's fine.
We were finally at the school, and I heard the staff outside call D'Shaun's car rider number through the walkie-talkies that they had. I also saw Jamar's dad pull up beside us. Soon enough D'Shaun and another little girl I haven't seen before come outside. They are close enough to Jamar's dad's, and I's car so we could hear them. All of our windows were also rolled down.
"What is it that you want to ask me." The little girl asked my little brother.
"I was wondering if Kristen was your boyfriend?" He responded while putting his head down. I have never known him to be this shy. My little brother was also blushing, I didn't even know he could do that. I look to my dad who was sitting right beside me in the driver's seat. He looked amused and shocked at the same time.
I looked back at the scene to see what happens next.
"He's not my boyfriend." She says. D'Shaun nods his head. "Why did you want to know?" She adds while raising one eyebrow.
"I was just wondering" he responds his head is now fully up looking at me. The girl just looks at him amusedly.
Soon she gets up on her tippy toes and kisses his cheek making him turn red again. She starts to walk away, but then turns around and says, "See you later pretty boy". She continues walking to her car without turning back around. She hops into Jamar's Dad's car, and I realize that she is the girl that Jamar was talking about at our last therapy session.
D'Shaun slowly walks to the car and then hops in. He stares downward still blushing, and it's like he's in a trance.
"Hey," I say trying to snap him out. He looks up and slowly waves his hand. My dad soon pulled off, and I realize that we are headed to the store. Once we are there D'Shaun has seemed to snap out of his trance, and he follows us out of that car and into the store.
We were just going into Walmart to buy some snacks, so we could go home and watch some movies.
Soon heard my phone ding, and realized it was a text from Jamar.

"Can Jamar come over?" I asked my dad, and he just nodded his head. I texted Jamar a thumbs up and then continued shopping for snacks.
Once we got home we saw mom in the kitchen making dinner. "Hey, you know our son got kissed today," my dad says. I see D'Shaun cheeks tint again, and he put his head down. My mom looks up shocked and amused.
"By who," she asks curiously.
"That's what we're trying to figure out. " My dad says, and all of our attention turns to D'Shaun. We all stare at him for a moment, but when the door opens our attention turn to it. Jamar comes from behind the door.
"What's going on?" He asks sensing the tension.
"My little brother got a kiss on his cheek by a girl," I say, and he raises his left eyebrow and looks at D'Shaun. The latter just keeps looking at the ground not meeting anyone's eyes.
"So who kissed you?" Jamar asks.
"Just a girl at school and her name is Janaya, and she called me pretty," D'Shaun says in one breath
"Did you say her name is Janaya?" Jamar asks, "That's the little girl that my dad brought home" he adds.
My parents and my little brother looked shocked, but I already knew and that's what's important.
"It's a small world" My mother goes back to cooking. A few minutes later Jamar goes back home, and my dad, my brothers, and I watch movies and eat snacks.

After I heard what D'Shaun said I went straight home. I walked in and I heard Janaya laughing, and my brothers and dad yelling. I walk in and I go straight to Janaya wanting to see why she did what she did.
"Why did you kiss D'Shaun?" I yell as soon as she gets in my sight.
"How did you find out," She asks, and rolls her eyes.
"He told me. I just came from his house, and I and his older brother are best friends." I say getting irritated.
"Awww, that's cute. You have friends." She says sarcastically "I kissed him because he's cute when he's flustered." She says with a shrug of her shoulders and walks to her room. We all are stood shocked by her bluntness.
