KIRA POV

"Be safe please," Jace kissed my head, "and if anything feels wrong, you leave. Okay?"

"Okay," I chuckled, "alright I'll be fine." I shook my head a bit and wrapped my arms around him, "I'll be okay. I promise." I kissed him before heading out. Esme and Justin weren't back yet, neither were Kai and Rowan. All of them have been out for the day and I've had no bad feelings, no negative feelings. I started walking down the street and I found my way to the old gravel road that was closed off. I walked past the barriers and started up the road. The wind blew around me.

"Who are you?" a woman appeared in front of me, "what's your business here?"

"I'm Kira," I said calmly, "I met Minnie, Miranda. She told me to come here, that I could and just to say her name."

"We've been expecting you," she nodded, "and are you alone?"

I looked at her for a few seconds, why does she want to know? "Yes," I nodded, "I am." She turned around and started walking. I followed her up and that's when I saw all the graves. I saw a couple of house-like structures. We walked to the center of the cemetery, other witches were gathered.

"We have company," the woman said and we got closer, "everyone, this is Kira. This is the girl Miranda told us about." I watched as all of them turned and looked at each other, some making comments while looking at me.

"Oh you're here!" Miranda appeared out of no where.

"Hey," I chuckled while looking at everyone, "why are they looking at me like that?"

"Oh don't mind them," she turned and looked at all of them, making sure they heard her, "they're just judgey. No wolf or vampire has set foot within the boundaries of the cemetery in many many years. You'll just have to ignore them. Come on." She grabbed my hand and she took me to a small house. When we walked in I saw a bed, a couch, a table, a bathroom and kitchen appliances. "I know it's small," she shrugged, "but its all we need."

"You live here?" I asked.

"When I'm here," she nodded, "I have an apartment too but this is where I stay when I'm here. So, what do you want to know?"

"How long have you guys been around?" I asked, "I mean... how many of you are there?"

"There are nineteen of us here," she nodded her head, "and we are so excited to have you here. Really."

"Why?" I asked, "why me?"

"Because you're enough to power all of us," she held her hand up and opened her hand. My head started to hurt and I grabbed at the sides. It felt like my head was exploding. I could hardly see and before long it was enough to make me black out.

I woke up in house to myself. I quickly stood and looked around before running to a mirror to look at myself, "what the hell did they do to me?" I look no different. I rushed out of the bathroom and ran to the front door, opening it but when I tried to go through I couldn't. "No," I whispered as I took a few steps back, "No. No. No." I looked around frantically, running to the nearest window. I tried to climb through but it was the same thing.

A barrier spell.

I stood still and looked around. I couldn't see anyone. The sun was starting to set. How long was I out? I went to grab my phone but it was no longer in my back pocket, "great."

ESME POV

"Shouldn't she be getting back by now?" Jace asked.

"Just give her some time," I nodded, "I'm sure she's fine. She's probably stronger than all of them combined anyways."
