I am too occupied in thinking about what will Dome react that I actually agreed to her without even further investigations. Tumango lang ako sa kaniya habang iginawad ang mata sa paligid. Pati kasi ang marka ng dugo sa sahig at wall ay medyo off. I have been into murder scenes na masyadong madugo. If one of the blood splash was a little odd, the it only means may mali sa embistigasyon. That we lack an information about something really important.

“Wait, I can’t focus right now.” Huminga ako ng malalim.

“May bumagabag ba sa isipan mo?” tanong ni Inspector habang iniinspeksiyon ang mga gamit sa sahig.

There is a broken part of a wall fan, a debris from a broken ceramic statue of a cat, some plates and utensils on the floor and that’s just it. Masyadong magulo ang paligid na kung titingnan na walang pagsusuri, masasabi mo talaga na may nangyaring malaking gulo o away.

“Do you think that something is really off about this?” pangutana ko kay Inspector habang iniisa-isa ko ang mga bagay.

“Oo, at yon ay kung bakit dinedeny pa din ng suspect ang krimen.” Sagot naman ni Inspector.

“Who would admit such a thing?” I smirked.

Marami akong napansin sa buong umaga naming pagsusuri sa buong bahay. The first thing I noticed was how come the fan broke off like that? Para bang nasira ito dahil may binara o ano? And the cat statue? Nahiwalay ang kaliwang kamay nito. Pati ang direksiyon ng pagkatapon ng dugo ay kakaiba din. It should not splatter behind the woman but in front and on the sides. Imposible kasi kung nakaharap siya sa counter, tapos saan ang sumaksak sa kaniya? The statue was covered in blood,too.

“And, did the suspects told you about something?” tanong ni Dome habang tumayo, “ Kukuha lang ako ng desserts sa ibaba. Ice cream?”

“Yes, dad, ice cream please!” Canon nodded.

Dome, “Flavor na gusto mo, misis?”
“Cookies and cream. Marami pa ba tayong groceries?”

“Paubos na. You should buy some bukas.” Aniya Dome saka nagtungo papasok sa bahay.

Lumingon ako sa pool, “ Parang gusto kong magpool now. What do you think Canon dear?”

“Kayo na lang ni daddy, mama. I have to go to sleep after I’ll help you sa pagliligpit ng gamit.”

I leaned closer to him and kissed his cheek, “You sweet baby. Di mo kailangang gawin yan. Responsibility namin yan ng dad mo.”

“Yes, pero sabi ni Daddy na di ka namin dapat pagurin masyado.”

“So you two are chivalrous now, huh?” I giggled.

He shrugged, “We just love you, mama.”

After we had some ice creams, naisipan na naming magligpit ng gamit. Pinatulog na din namin si Canon. Its already 9 pm in the evning and heto ako, wearing my two piece lingerie in the pool. Nakaboxers lang si Dome. Most of his body is dipped into the water. Madilim ang paligid. The lights are dimmed a little and only the yellow bulbs are on. Nakahilig si Dome sa pinakagilid ng pool, his back facing the city view below.

Lumangoy ako sa kaniya kahit na may dalang whiskey sa kanang kamay. With his opened arms, he pulled me closer into an embrace. Snaking my arm around his neck, I just let my chin rest on his broad shoulder.

He placed a soft kiss on my hair, “Are you happy with me, asawa ko?”
I hummed, “Yeah.”

“Me too. Masaya ako , sayo.” He breathed in deeply.
