The choice of me leaving Malaysia would depend on whether the political system improves. Malaysia is a beautiful country, don't get me wrong, I love Malaysia, as a citizen of Malaysia myself, I am proud of Malaysia, even though it doesn't take centre stage in the whole world, neither the richest nor the cleanest country compared to our neighbours. But one thing remains is that the culture and the food, and most importantly the unity we have, although there are racial divisions once in a while, that doesn't mean we can't unite as one!
The only thing that brings Malaysia down is the corruption within the political system. Now, all political systems are corrupt, and that's a fact, no system is ever clean. But the thing is that the corruption and power-hungry people in Malaysia are painfully obvious, it just damages the reputation of Malaysia. Not only that, but Malaysia also has child marriages which too would hurt Malaysia's reputation severely, but that is another ramble for another time
So, if the political system doesn't improve, I would most likely choose to leave the country.
