#48 - The Sheer Incompetence

The Royal Malaysian Police or what we usually call the PDRM (Polis Diraja Malaysia). I admire the PDRM a lot like I have serious respect for them. But sometimes they do things that are seriously unacceptable, especially recently, there was this video that surfaced on Tik Tok where police stopped an ambulance from going just so they can let a VIP convoy through.

I cannot comprehend the actions of a response given by a traffic police outrider who was tagged in the comment, he said, "No komen, kita bkn(bukan) di lokasi xtau(tak tau) situasi sebenar.. yang merakam pun xbtl(tak betul).. dengan bahasa, dengan guna handphone time drive.." ("No comment. I was not at the location and do not know the real situation. The one recording is wrong too, with his bad language and using his hand-phone while driving")

Now I understand he was using his phone while he was driving was bad, but if you think logically for a second, the person recording may be stopping at the roadside to let the convoy through. Secondly, the person recording has every right to be mad, the police have taken a test before that they must always let the ambulance through in times of emergency.

But the "No komen..." that came from the police outrider is unacceptable, maybe they could've condemned the actions of their colleague or maybe apologise on behalf of your colleague, oh but no, you just had to condemn the person exposing the truth. 

In this case, I condemn both the person recording the video for their foul language and condemn the PDRM officers in each video for prioritising VVIP convoys instead of Ambulances. Those officers who prioritise the ambulance instead, thank you :)
