By now, you knew your way around the Ubayashiki estate, so moving around was so much easier for you.

You were told that Lady Tamayo wanted to speak to you the night before, causing you to keep wondering the reason she asked for you for the rest of the night. You sighed as you continued walking across the hallways, trying to tuck in a loose strand of (H/C) hair behind your ear while in deep thought, only to end up bumping into someone. "Oi! Watch it!" You spoke up, only to notice how the person completely ignored you, continuing his way as if he has never bumped into you in the first place.

You weren't able to make out much of his features, but it was very clear that the person was very tall, almost reaching six feet. His long hair was put in a mohawk style haircut as well, and he dressed up in a purple jacket, along with dark olive green pants. You frowned. You didn't remember seeing him around here before. Just who is this?

Your eyes widened, remembering that you had a meeting with Tamayo. You went back to walking, picking up your pace as you completely forgot about the male you just bumped into.

"Ah, (Y/N). I'm so happy to see you're doing well." Tamayo smiled once she noticed you entering the room. The dark-haired lady sat on a chair with a book in her hands, next to her was a scowling Yushiro, glaring in your direction. You decided to ignore Yushiro and smile back at Tamayo, slightly nodding your head.

"It's good to see you too, Ms. Tamayo." You said. Tamayo's thin lips widened slightly.

"I've heard you've finally officially joined the demon slayer corps. I'm so glad you made it in. I've always seen such talent in your family. Your family has always brought out some of the best swordsmen." You blushed slightly, rubbing the back of your neck.

"I didn't do much... it's thanks to Kyojuro and the others for helping me become stronger." You said smiling, rubbing the back of your neck.

"Rengoku Kyojuro. The flame pillar, correct?" You nodded. Tamayo softly sighed, a sad smile spreading across her face, "(Y/N), do you know why Oyakata-Sama chose Kyojuro out of all the pillars to be your trainer?" You swallowed the lump in your throat, shaking your head. Tamayo smiled softly. "Kyojuro's father, Shinjuro, was once a demon slayer too. A flame pillar. Before he became one of the highest rank demon slayers, he asked the Night Pillar to train him so he can become stronger."

"My grandmother... helped train Kyojuro's father?" Tamayo nodded.

"That's correct. If anything, Shinjuro looked up to Ayaka the most. She was almost... like an older sister figure to him." Tamayo rested her hand on the table between both of you, "The techniques Kyojuro has taught you, like learning how to fight without sight, for instance, or learning to adapt to areas with such thin air. Those were few techniques Ayaka has taught Shinjuro, and Shinjuro has taught them to his son." You blinked, taking in the information. You never thought that your grandmother would be close to Kyojuro's father. You didn't remember her mentioning many of her friends.

"Oyakata-sama knew that Kyojuro was the only one who knew a few of these techniques, and was willing to teach me?" You asked. Tamayo smiled.

"For the most part, yes." Tamayo said, "but... I think Oyakata-sama knew that both you and Kyojuro were... ah, close, perhaps." You chuckled nervously, avoiding all eye contact.

"Haha well... Kyojuro and I are, indeed... close." Your face turned into a soft pink color as Tamayo chuckled softly, causing Yushiro at the back to blush softly too.

"So the rumors were true after all," Tamayo smiled softly, "Kyojuro has always been such a sweet boy. I'm sure he's the perfect one for you." Your lips curved into a smile as you looked down.
