Kyojuro hummed softly as he stood in front of your apartment building, waiting for you to come out. As you both have planned earlier that morning, Kyojuro was taking you out on a surprise date. You had no idea where your boyfriend was taking you, but you were still excited nonetheless. You would've gone out with him right away if you weren't wearing clothing three times your actual size. Kyojuro pointed out how cute you looked in his clothing, given how you were dressed up in his hooded sweatshirt and pants, and his compliment made you feel a little flustered. Kyojuro, on the other hand, was slightly nervous, even he had to admit. His heart rate was rising little by little as the minutes passed. He wasn't sure. Would you like the place he was planning to take you to? Would you enjoy it? Kyojuro took a deep breath, softly smiling. Of course she would! I'm sure of it! I'll make sure that today would be her most memorable d—
"Oi! Kyo! Over here!" Kyojuro was snapped out of his trance he turned to find his good friends, Tengen and Sanemi, walking towards him. Tengen has a smile fixed on his face, waving at Kyojuro, while Sanemi just had his hands shoved in his pockets, almost looking grumpy. Though in the end, that was just how Sanemi always was. Kyojuro put on his usual bright smile on his face as he walked towards his friends, though deep down, he was very surprised to find them here at all. What were they doing here of all places!? Tengen stopped as he patted Kyojuro on the back, "What's up!" He then turned to face your apartment building, "And why are you standing in front of Klutzy's apartment? Aren't you responsible for taking care of her during school days?" Kyojuro swallowed a lump in his throat as he nervously chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck. He wasn't planning on breaking the news to his friends right away. He thought maybe after a week or so would be a great time.
"Well, I—" but Sanemi didn't let him finish.
"You aren't stalking her, are you?" the white-haired man asked, raising an eyebrow as he folded his arms. Kyojuro's eyes widened, opening his mouth to protest only for Tengen to stop him with a loud laugh.
"Puh-lease! How could she be worth stalking? If there's anything I know, she's probably just lying around, watching anime, and eating all night. Her life isn't so flashy." Kyojuro's shoulders slumped. Yes, you did eat a lot of food, and you most certainly did watch anime, but he was sure you would do some other productive things as well. Tengen then turned back to Kyojuro, wrapping an arm around his shoulders, "Anyway, bro! Sanemi and I were on our way to Obanai's place. Figured you'd want to join us!" Kyojuro blinked as he looked away, avoiding his friend's gaze.
"Actually, I am pretty busy at the moment!" Kyojuro exclaimed with his iconic wide smile, "But I'd love to join you guys some other day!" Tengen raised his eyebrows.
"Oh... I see." Tengen said. Kyojuro's shoulders rested in relief, hoping his friends would finally leave him alone, but he was mistaken. Instead, Tengen just started asking Kyojuro about what he was busy with. Kyojuro knew how much of a gossip Tengen was, so he tried his best to keep his mouth shut. It didn't help matters when you finally walked out of the apartment, dressed up in a pair of jeans you owned under Kyojuro's hooded sweatshirt. Kyojuro started sweating. (Y/N)... you're the love of my life, and I treasure you the most... but you had everything else in your closet you could've worn instead of that!
"Hey, look who's here!" Sanemi's facial expression suddenly shifted from bored and grumpy to his evil smirk. Tengen looked away from Kyojuro and turned his head to you, sharing Sanemi's evil smirk at first before frowning. He then turned back to Kyojuro, a confused frown still plastered on his face as he pointed his thumb at you.
"Hey, isn't that your favorite hoodie?" He asked, raising an eyebrow, before exchanging glances with Sanemi. It looked like they were putting the puzzles together, because by the time you join Kyojuro's little group, frowning at both of Kyojuro's white-haired friends that enjoyed bullying you a lot.
"What do you both want?" You frowned as Sanemi's smirk widened while Tengen's shoulders fell as if he has lost to something.
"You and (Y/N) are together, aren't you?" Sanemi asked as you and Kyojuro blushed lightly, both of you either stuttering or rubbing the back of your heads. Tengen's face darkened as Sanemi laughed out loud, turning to his friend while pointing a finger at him. "I win! Now, where the fifty bucks you owe me, huh?!" Kyojuro had a blank smile on his face, slightly tilting his head in confusion as you blinked at the two taller men standing in front of you.
"You guys were betting on us?" You asked as Tengen-sama handed over the money to Shinazugawa-San.
"Oh hell yeah, we were, sweetheart." The white-haired man smirked as he continued to count the money, "I knew it was going to happen one way or another. That idiot on the other hand didn't." Kyojuro had to be honest with himself, he never liked the fact that Sanemi was calling you sweetheart, especially now that you both were dating, though he tried ignoring his feelings, trying to process all that was happening. Tengen pouted like a five-year-old who just had his favorite candy taken away from him.
"Couldn't we at least negotiate?! There has to be some other way!" Tengen-sama cried dramatically, but Shinazugawa-San did even bother responding and shoved the money in his pocket instead. Uzui turned to Kyojuro. "Hey, Kyo! You're my best bro! Surely you deserve better than this! I can hook you up with some really hot chicks, man! I just need my money back!" Tengen-sama sobbed, tugging onto Kyojuro's sleeve as you looked down at the white-haired man in disgust. Kyojuro smiled as he held your hand.
"Sorry, Tengen! I love (Y/N), and only (Y/N)!" Kyojuro exclaimed as your face turned to a soft shade of pink, "Besides, no one told you to agree on that bet, Tengen!" Kyojuro added with his wide smile as Uzui sniffled, before getting pulled up by Shinazugawa-San.
"Now leave them alone! I told you that you had no chance of winning, but you're just too stubborn, aren't you?" He said, before smirking. "We can stalk them later on the little date they're having." A vein popped on your forehead, turning as you threw a fist in the air.
"You both try stalking us and I'll break your limbs, you hear me?!" You barked as Shinazugawa-San snickered, making you sigh angrily. The idea of having the two who enjoyed insulting you the most stalking you on your first date just made you sick. You noticed the way Kyojuro was looking at you, making you feel confused. "What?"
"I think you've been hanging out with Kocho-San a bit too much lately." He stated as you playfully punched his shoulder. You softly squeezed his hand.
"So... where are you taking me?" You asked.
"Didn't I say it was a surprise?" Kyojuro asked as you groaned. You hated surprises... well, mostly because lately, you've been dealing with a lot of them. Kyojuro noticed your expression as he softly patted your head. "I'm sure you'll love it, (Y/N)! I think it would help you clear your mind for a bit!" You smiled softly at your boyfriend. You loved how he has always cared for you, even before he confessed his feelings for you. Kyojuro was just perfect. You'd wonder how you ended up getting so lucky having someone so amazing as a boyfriend. You softly rested your head on his shoulder as you both continued walking.
"How did I get so lucky?" You asked sighing as Kyojuro looked at you.
"(Y/N), of there's anyone here who should be asking this question, it's me." Kyojuro said softly, squeezing your hand, his eyes then widening when he looked back where you both were walking, a cheerful smile creeping up onto his face. "Oh, look! We're already here!" He exclaimed, excitement filling his loud voice as you glanced at where Kyojuro was looking, a small smile forcing its way up to your face.
Kyojuro wasn't kidding when he said the place was going to help keep your mind off things, that's for sure.
