Several months have passed since your first mission, and you could say that everything has been sailing smoothly since then. You weren't attacked by any powerful demons, which in your eyes, was a good sign.

Kyojuro, on the other hand, though there was something suspicious about all that. If you were finally certified demon slayer, why was no strong demon attacking you? Kyojuro thought that the demon lord would've taken his chance to attack you for your blood. Not that Kyojuro thought that you not getting attacked by powerful demons was a bad sign. It's just... something about this felt odd. What exactly does the demon lord have up his sleeve? Kyojuro would hate it if Kibutsuji hurt you in any way and he wouldn't even know about it.

"Kyo?" Kyojuro was snapped out of his thoughts, looking down at you while you wrapped your arms around him, both laying down in his bed. You gave him a concerned look.

"Is everything alright? You seemed to have spaced out for a second there." you said. Kyojuro blinked at you before smiling softly, kissing your forehead.

"It's nothing, love. I was just thinking, that's all." Kyojuro said, slowly starting to caress your hair. You didn't buy it, but you didn't want to push him either. After all, you were his girlfriend. Kyojuro Rengoku's girlfriend. You wanted to be there for him as much as he was there for you. You slowly nodded your head, hugging him tighter as you buried your head into his chest.

"If something is bothering you, I'm always here to listen, ok?" You mumbled, too embarrassed to look him in the eye while saying that. You weren't very used to being so affectionate towards others, even if you loved and cared for them deeply, and even if you and Kyojuro have been together for several months now. You still felt somehow embarrassed and a little bit shy. You thought it was all ridiculous, but Kyojuro, on the other hand, thought that it made you look adorable. The blond's lips couldn't help but kiss yours softly, before curving into a deeper smile.

"You don't have to worry, (Y/N)." Kyojuro told you, "As long as I'm here by your side, then you could say I'm the happiest man alive." You felt yourself blush slightly as you shoved your head back into his chest, covering your reddened face.

"You're so cheesy..." you mumbled, even if both you and your boyfriend knew you liked it.

"I don't remember the last time I ate ice cream..." the younger kid standing beside you mumbled as he stared at the ice cream cone he carried in his hands. You raised your eyebrows as you took a lick from your cone, before turning to Muichiro.

"Was that why you took so long to decide which one you wanted to take?" You asked the shorter boy as he nodded his head slowly. Lately, you and Muichiro have started to hang out with each other a lot ever since the day you let him stay in your place. You've learned many things about the younger boy, like his love for folding origami. Every time you asked Muichiro to hang out with you, the kid would bring with him a paper bird he folded up himself. You thought that was very sweet of him. You had a collection of them by now.

You have even learned that his favorite food was simmered radish dressed with sweet miso. Muichiro remembered that when you both passed a food stand that sold the very same food. Muichiro pointed that out with a smile, warming your heart. It wasn't common that you saw Muichiro smile. Usually, he would always wear a blank expression on his face, as if he was in his little world. You were glad that you were able to talk to him and be his friend.

"I have trouble remembering. I forget quickly." Muichiro said dryly, "I can't remember who my family was, where I have come from, or why I have decided to become a demon slayer." Muichiro said in a monotone. You felt your heart clench. It wasn't because you pitied Muichiro that you were friends with him. It was more that you found him interesting. You wanted to know more about him. However, seeing how blank his eyes were, and how he had forgotten his loved ones, hurt. It would be impossible for you to ever forget your grandmother and everything she has done for you. Muichiro suddenly held onto the sleeve of your jacket, taking a lick from his ice cream.

"But, I think that you might be my big sister, (Y/N)-San." Muichiro stated confidently as you blinked at the younger boy, your brain trying to process the words that just left the kid's lips.

"...Eh?"

"You're kind to me. And you're pretty too. There is no other explanation." Muichiro said. You nervously chuckled, rubbing the back of your head.

"Well... you might see me as an older sister to you, but—"

"But you love Rengoku-San right?" Muichiro cut you off, continuing to speak, "And he seems to love you too. I'm scared that if you both love each other more, you might get married. Then you'll forget about me and I'll forget about you. I don't want that to happen." Your jaw fell.

"Muichiro..." you sighed, patting the younger boy's head, "I'll never forget about you, even if Kyojuro and I get married. And I'm sure you would never forget about me either." Your lips curved into a smile, "And just so you know, I couldn't be more glad to be your big sister." Muichiro gave you a small smile.

"Ok, big sis."

"Waa, (Y/N)! I have no idea what to wear to my date with Obanai! Please help me!" Mitsuri cried to you on the phone. You felt your sweatdrop. Even if it has been a few months since Iguro-San has asked Mitsuri out, your pink-haired friend still seemed to be having trouble trying to find what she should wear, which was surprising because Mitsuri seemed to have the best taste when it came to clothing.

"Mitsuri calm down..." you sighed, "I'm sure anything you pick out would look great on you! Besides... I don't think I'm the best person to ask about clothing advice..."

"B-but what if I look bad! (Y/N) you look good I'm everything you wear! Please help me!" Mitsuri sobbed uncontrollably from the other side of the phone call as you sighed. Uzui looked up from his papers, facing you.

"Wow... whoever you're on the phone with must be loud." Uzui said as you threw the white-haired man a glare.

"Shut it, Tengen." You snapped as the larger man had an offended expression plastered on his face, surprised you haven't called him "Tengen-sama". You turned to face the other side, hoping that you would be able to convince Mitsuri that she'll look great in whatever clothing she'd like and that she has such an amazing taste in outfits.

You groaned as you finally reached your home after another mission. Your seventh mission to be exact. It was such a tiring week for you, yet, all the demons you have been facing were more on the weaker side. You wanted to deal with a demon more challenging.

You were too tired to think much of it. You just walked to your room and plopped yourself onto your bed, not bothering to change your clothes into something more comfortable. You wanted, no, needed some rest. You sighed into your pillow.

"It has been such a long week..." you mumbled to yourself, snuggling yourself more into the pillow.

Little did you know about the challenge you were about to face soon.
