It was raining. How wonderful!

Just when I thought I would finally be free! Why must god hate me so much?

You were wet. You were cold. You were shivering. You were a complete mess. You simply glared at the cloudy sky as you continued your way to your small, tiny, cramped apartment. Now that you thought about it, dealing with some rain didn't seem so bad after all.

"Where's Kyojuro when I need him..." You murmured to yourself, rubbing your shoulders for warmth, which, was useless. You wouldn't be surprised if you caught a cold once you got home. Hey! At least there's a great excuse to ditch a day from work, right?

You continued scurrying, feeling the wet splashes of the freezing rainwater under your new shoes. You sighed, looking down at your now drenched shoes. Maybe next time you get your monthly earnings, wasting them on noodles might be better than wasting them on a pair of shoes that couldn't last a week.

You froze in your tracks.

You could've sworn that you heard an extra pair of footsteps nearby. Was someone following you? That was what it seemed like. You turned around slowly, hoping whoever, or whatever was following you won't attack you or cause you harm.

You looked carefully through the falling raindrops and noticed there was nothing following you. You couldn't help but sigh in relief. Just overreacting. Nothing there to worry about, right?

You turned around to find yourself face to face with some stranger, which made you yelp in surprise. Turns out someone was following you after all.

"What the heck?! What's wrong with you? Almost gave me a heart attack, jeez." You rolled your eyes as you took in the features of the stranger, and you weren't kidding when you called him a stranger... because he sure did look... strange.

There was a young man, maybe eighteen or so, with skin so pale that it looked green-tinged. Several thick blue lines adorned his face, which you assumed to be tattooed. From below his ears to over his temples, he had lines on his face, one running from the center of his hairline to the bridge of his nose, two more running around his neck, and three more branching off from the lower one to his torso. Since he was dressed in dark clothing, it was easy to guess there were more line decorations on his body.

The young man had short, bright pink hair that fluffed out around his head, and inward-tilting yellow eyes with pink eyelashes and blue sclera that looked somewhat like cracked glass. It looked so unnatural, it was somehow terrifyingly beautiful.

He just looked odd.

"Hey... you gonna apologize or what?" You asked, waving your hand in front of his face, but the pink-haired man sighed before looking up to meet your (E/C) eyes.

"You're the one, huh?" He asked, taking a step closer towards you, studying your features carefully, "You do fit the description well."

"Alright! Hold up, sir!" You placed your palm in front of you, trying not to act frightened, which in reality, you were about to pass out, "How about you just let me go since I have no idea who you are and I do not wish to find out. Do you mind?" You forced a smile. The pink-haired man rolled his eyes and folded his arms, glaring at you. Just what is wrong with that man?

"Listen, girlie. I understand you don't want this any more than I do, so please, come with me and no one gets harmed." He said calmly. You stood there, confused, not knowing what to do. Should you scream? No, he'll probably kill you. Besides, no one would hear you with all the rain that fell around you. Your knees were shaking uncontrollably, and you were able to feel your heart beating so hard against your rib cage. You were petrified. You would've stayed in bed if you knew what was going to happen to you after work. No. You didn't want to look like a coward in front of this man.

"What would you do if I refuse to come with you?" you asked. The pink-haired man raised an eyebrow at you, the corner of his lips curving into a small smile.

"So audacious. I've always liked that about those with the special blood. It's why I had respect for your family." he spoke up.

"What do you know about my family?" you questioned coldly. The man folded his arms.

"To answer that first question you've asked," he started, "I'm afraid I'll have to take you by force. I apologize for that in advance. And your family? They're well known among my kind. I'm quite surprised you don't know the truth by now."

You balled your fists. This man was starting to confuse you. He must've known something about your family that you didn't.

"The hell are you talking about?!" You asked, but the pink-haired man rolled his eyes, raising his arm.

"Once again, I apologize for doing this. Unfortunately, I don't have a choice." You stared at him. What was he apologizing about?

Almost immediately, the man struck the base of your nose with the heel of his palm, shoving you back. Warm liquid spilled down from your nose, your consciousness slowly getting lost. His hit was much stronger than it seemed.

After that, everything was a blur. The man grabbed you around the waist and carried you over his shoulder as you fell. The sensation of warm blood trickling down from your nose was very familiar to you. You nearly lost consciousness when a strange figure entered. You couldn't see anything clearly due to your blurry vision. A voice yelled something, but you couldn't hear anything else other than muffled sounds. What you could see in the figure looked like what might be fire; however, how can fire light up when it is raining? You were bewildered. Was that a katana they were holding??!

Then you completely lost your consciousness.

Yeah. I probably died, haha.
