~Chapter 27~

Your eyes slowly fluttered open, slightly squinting at the sun's harsh light. Your body felt a little sore, making you softly groan as you got up, running your hand through your hair. Surprisingly, your hair felt softer than it usually was. You also noticed you were fully undressed, yet you were completely clean. On your bedside table laid your uniforms, neatly folded. You blinked in confusion at first, before remembering the events of last night, making your face grow slightly warm.

I slept with Kyojuro last night...

You covered your face, feeling the slight warmth under the palms of your hands. Just get over it... it's probably just a one-time thing... you took a deep breath as you got up, and walked towards your closet as you grabbed a (F/C) sweatshirt and a pair of jeans, putting them on as you picked up your phone. You remembered it buzzing last night, and you didn't want to keep whoever has texted you waiting for too long. The first notification was from Kyojuro.

Your eyes widened as you quickly shoved your phone to the side, covering your mouth as your face glowed red. Was he talking about... you shook your head, leaving Kyojuro's text for later, not knowing how to exactly answer him as you moved on to the next text message, left by Giyu.

You couldn't help but smile at Giyu's text message. It seemed like he hasn't had a friend for so long. You stared at the first text. Was he possibly waiting for Kyojuro that whole time? He didn't suspect anything, did he? You pushed away those thoughts as you replied to your newfound friend.

You immediately felt guilty for leaving Mitsuri hanging like that. She was such an amazing person, you thought someone like you didn't deserve to have her as a best friend. You quickly swiped at the text as you answered your best friend.

You grabbed your house keys and wallet as you left your apartment, passing by one of your cranky old neighbors who glared at you. You awkwardly smiled at her as you continued your way out, walking to the café Mitsuri worked in. It was more chilly than usual, meaning Winter was about to start soon. You slightly shivered as you crossed the street, wishing you had worn something that helped you warm up a little more. You entered the café, smiling when Mitsuri turned to meet you with a bright smile.
