( a continuation of yesterday's piece, too much caffeine)

Madeleine and Gingerbrave
Off in the distance Madeleine hears a scream!, " that sounds like strawberry!" Gingerbrave quickly realised turning towards the sound. " she must be in danger!" Agreed Madeleine. With not a second thought the two dashed off to the sound of the panic in the tree's,
Strawberry,
"EKKKKKKKKKKKK!" Starwberry screamed as the cake wolf toppled her over,
Espresso needed to think fast!, while he couldn't use his magic yet. He could atleast try to scare the cake wolf's off. "Hey!!!" He called while waving his arms. " why don't you come get me? You cake heathens" this caught the wolf's attention enough so that strawberry could give the cake monster above her a Whack With her hammer! It squealed in pain as strawberry managed to squirm free and stand on her feet again.
Though she was safe, it was espresso that was in trouble now.. the another cake hounds had cornered him and now the cake wolf that strawberry had whacked, approached with it’s teeth bearded at him. Clearly mad at the mage.
Espresso,
It would be a lie to say that espresso wasn't afraid, the wolf's snarled at him, espresso stepped back. He was glad strawberry was safe now but there wasn't much room between him and the tree's. What do I do? Espressos thought beginning to panic, one of the cake wolf's got closer and closer. Knocking espresso to the ground,
" Espresso!!!" Starwberry cried, tears slightly in her eye's. Without thinking she dashed in but was block by the other cake monster. Making her back away from espresso that desperately needed help...
Pined to the floor, the cake wolf tried to bite! Espresso! This seemed like his end.. as the cake wolf drooled over him. So close to smell his breath, espresso almost saw his life before his eyes.. all that had happened.. had just manged to move so he wasn't completely crumbled by the beast, still the wolf had caught his arm. Making the jam spill out a bit...
Espresso closed his eyes... everything went silent and still... he was trapped. Trapped in the deepest void on earthbread, the darkness engulfed him...
And then there was a LIGHT. The brightest light espresso had ever seen. It was a blazing! White and when espresso opened his eyes a bit more.. it look more like a sword???
Madeleine:
SLASH!!!! The cake wolf was dead... espresso lay on the ground, his eye's barley open. Jam coming from his wounded arm.. "Espresso!" Madeleine bent down by his side, and generally scooped him a little in his arms. Still the mage didn't move
" Espresso! Are you alright?" He cried, his voice cracking slightly. Behide strawberry and Gingerbrave ran over having of delt with the other cake wolf in the Commotion.
" Espresso!!!!" Starwberry cried, tears streaming down her face now as she reached the two. " we need to get him to a healer!" Gingerbrave said, and as quick as a flash Madeleine picked up espresso in his arms, Gingerbrave lead the way back as the Knight followed clutching the mage close to his chest.
" this is all!! My fault!!" Starwberry cried into her sleeves, as they hurried back. " no it's not.. " soothed Gingerbrave putting a hand on her shoulder, glacing over his shoulder he saw espresso laying in Madeleines arms. Gingerbrave had never seen the Knight so worried before. He didn't think knights got scared liked other cookies but Madeleine was as white as a sheet and look terrified for his friend....
( slight time skip to finding herb the healer in the kingdom)
Espresso felt something around him.. something soft.. but muscular. He felt a sensation... which he couldn't quite place. He opend his eye's and couldn't really see what was going on.. all he could see was armour?
He looked up...
" Espresso" everyone cried happily, " you're awake!" Gingerbrave was overjoyed.
Espresso suddenly felt something... it all seemed like a dream... but he hadn't taken his eyes off...
Madeleine,
His armour shone in the sun once more holding espresso close, he was so relieved to see he was okay. He didn't quite realise how tightly he was holding the mage. He so close to his heart... and he couldn't stop smiling. Espresso eye's meet his... and then after the shook there was that feeling again.. he was so panicked he didn't even think about what he was doing, let alone how cute Espresso looked in Madeleine arms. Big and strong, he looked more like a small cat that had been scooped up.
What was really awkward was yet either of them was to actually say anything.....
'" I'M SO SORRY!!" Starwberry cried over espresso. Sniffing as she whiped her face.
Still... nothing... neither espresso nor Madeleine seem to break this eye contact
Perhaps espresso was just in shock? Herb pondered, finishing his job.
" He should be alright now, just get plenty of rest" herb said, it was only now espresso tured his head to see the other's.... it was then he did slightly unexpected
He looked up at strawberry reding face from the tears. " are you alright?" He asked sounding generally concerned. Not even knowing he was the one that was almost dog food!!
This took strawberry by surprise, she used her sleeves to dap her face from the tears once more. Yet she gave a faint smile
" ehhhhh, yeah I'm alright"
