( it's starting to get hard to think of all these cookie puns! Let me know if you guys can think of any🍪🍪🍪)

Espresso,

Silence fills the room, for a moment Espresso just stares at Madeleine. In some what surprise at what just happed. Luckily he had been able to hold on to the book he wanted but reading for a second thought for the moment.. anything other then work racing through his mind was rare for Espresso, but seeing the Knight in front of him shyly turn away blushing from the encounter made espresso confused more than anything.

He raised an eye brow, and let his thoughts wash over him. " ehhhhhh...." Espresso began, speechless... He didn't know what it was about madelines gaze that made him so... what was the word? He was looking for he thought and suddenly realised at the same time! That was exactly it! Something about Madeleine made espresso not quite himself.. forgetful in a way... disoriented.

" I'll ehhh, leave you to you're work!" Madeleine cut through the awkward Silence. Face still flustered, he seemed to squirm where he stood. He looked uncomfortable now in espresso's precents... espresso was still some what speechless. As the Knight began back towards his front door.

" I'm glad you're feeling better though!" He quickly stammered with a turn, not wanting espresso to see how much he was blushing under his long hair.

Before Espresso knew it the Knight was out the door!.. and he once more alone again. Though this time it wasn't quite the alone he liked. He stood bamboozled... book in hand. There where just so many things... he thought.... all of it just made espresso mentally freeze. Much like a computer with a error, he couldn't quite seem to process what exactly just happened.

I...need ... a Drink... he finally concluded..

( slight time skip to sparklings bar )

( before we start this bit of the chaper I feel like I should say it does contain drinking and alcohol. I mean... duuuuu! It's a bar!)

Espresso is sat by the bar, wrapped up in his usual dark Cape. Across the counter Sparkling is cleaning his glasses as usual, he clean's each glass with great care, polishing them until they well... Sparkel!

Espresso had already ordered one drink, a dark rum and coke. He looked down at the glass melancholy... espresso wasn't really one for alcohol. True to his name he mostly seen with a hot cup of Joe in his hand, but when he was especially stressed and confused. He came over to sparklings,

Sparklings bar always had it's regulars dotted about the small club, vampire cookie who at that moment was sitting on a stool by the pool table, next to him was mint choc cookie . Who was lining up his shoot with his cue, he bent over the table and took a good look at what his next move might be...  if mint choc was to gaze up at this point he would of noticed vampire longingly gazing at him from his glass. Vampire cookie was cool and calm, but it was pretty plain that he had a crush on mint choc. He would take a slow sip from his glass as mint took his shoot. Just leaning forward slightly to check him out from behide.

" what seems to be troubling you?" Sparking asked the depressed looking mage, he gazed up at espresso as he put down the glass he was cleaning. Taking his towel, he through it over his shoulder and leaned against the other side of the bar. With a slight smile, trying to see if he could get espresso to open up.

" nothin...." Espresso trailed off, rubbing his finger around the glass.

"Hmmm" Sparking gave a nod attentively, from his years of bar tending he learned that at times it was best just to let the customer speak.

There where a few moments of silence, and sparklings even tured from espresso. Letting the mage stew on his thoughts a little while longer. He started to our another drink and spoke once,
