Staying in Rasea wasn't nearly as bad as Logain anticipated. He still wasn't a fan of the desert heat, but the outfits the prince bought for them made it manageable. The clothing was modest as Maira said, but the warlock definitely saw some scandalous outfits when they went shopping. He kept that to himself, though. He didn't want Casimir to get any ideas.

Logain would have preferred to stay inside during their stay in the desert kingdom, but Casimir wouldn't let him. Casimir let him get away with it on the ship because sailing across the sea made the warlock sick, but they weren't out at sea anymore. Casimir wanted to enjoy the sights with Logain before they made the trip across the desert. The prince found a guide the day they arrived in Rasea. It would be a week before their departure, so Casimir would enjoy the city while he had the chance. He didn't know if he would ever come back to this kingdom after this.

It was the day before their departure, so the prince wanted to see the kingdom's sights one last time before they left for good. As he had been doing, he invited Logain to join him. The warlock never said no to spending time with him. Logain acted shy, which the prince found adorable. It was tempting to ask Logain out when he acted that way. Whenever Casimir met someone whom he found cute, he fell hard. He had a weakness for cute men. Logain was the type of man that Casimir was attracted to, even if the warlock was too embarrassed to hear it.

As they walked through the market of Rasea, it was hard for Casimir not to spoil Logain. Anything that caught the warlock's eye, the prince bought for him, despite Logain's protests. Casimir carried the bag of souvenirs so that Logain didn't have to. At this rate, Casimir wouldn't even be able to carry the bag if he kept buying things for Logain.

Logain tried his best to not let anything else catch his eye, but it was hard to when the market was brimming with shops. Ambria also had plenty of shops, but it was nothing like this. Rasea's stalls were all lined up one after the other, on both sides of the street. The shops were outside, as well as a few on the inside of the buildings. It was hard to ignore when there was so much to look at.

Casimir smiled at Logain, who stopped to look at a small crystal figurine of a turtle. This was the most fun Casimir had in a while. He asked, "Are you enjoying yourself?"

Logain nodded, unable to pretend that he wasn't. As much as he wanted to return home, he couldn't deny that he was having a good time with the prince. He didn't expect to enjoy his time with a mortal this much. Logain knew he shouldn't get too attached to Casimir, but it was hard to when the prince was making him feel this way. He appreciated the little gifts the prince was buying him, but spending time with the prince was what truly made him happy. This was something that Logain wasn't used to. He couldn't recall the last time he felt this way.

The warlock blushed, then asked, "T-this is sort of like a first date, isn't it?"

Casimir chuckled. It was clear that Logain had never been on a date before, even though he was over two hundred years old. The prince remembered Logain mentioning that he already liked someone, but it was impossible for them to be together since that man was already married.

He was curious as he asked, "I know I took your first kiss, but have you really never been on a date before? It's hard to believe that a two-hundred-year-old cutie has never gone out with someone before. You never even went out with someone for a cup of tea?"

Logain crossed his arms and refused to look at the prince. "You already know that I've been in love with someone for a long time. We're both immortal, so I held onto the hope that he would eventually fall for me as well. As many women as he's met and fell in love with, they were all mortals, and the woman he's married to now is a mortal as well. I hoped that maybe after he got tired of losing the people he loved, then he would . . . settle for me. But a straight man isn't going to fall for me, even if I'm the only person who has stayed in his life for this long. So no, I've never been on a date before because I was waiting on something that would never happen."

"Are you okay with hearing this? If you want to date me, I doubt you want to hear me talking about another man," Logain shot back a question of his own. Since Casimir was honest with him about his past relationships, it was only fair for Logain to do the same. Casimir might not want to hear that Logain had feelings for someone else.

However, the prince shrugged and responded, "You were willing to give me a chance, so you must be letting go of your old love. We both had feelings for another person in the past, but we can move on with each other. If you still have feelings for him, then that's okay. That just means that I'll have to try harder to earn your love."

To Logain's surprise, Casimir took his hand in his. He raised it to his lips and planted a soft kiss on it, making Logain blush. He quickly pulled his hand away, embarrassed that Casimir showed this sort of affection in public. No one seemed to care as they walked by, but that didn't stop Logain's heart from beating quickly.

The prince couldn't help chuckling from Logain's reaction. He reached behind him to grab the crystal turtle figurine that Logain was looking at. If Logain wouldn't let him show affection in public, then he would just have to continue spoiling him with gifts. After paying for the figurine, they continued down the street of the market.

As they walked, Logain gently gripped Casimir's sleeve. He was blushing as he held the prince, and he placed his head against his arm. "Um, I-I am opening my heart to you and trying to let go of the past. It's hard after loving someone for centuries, so give me some time. I'm willing to give a relationship with you a try."

Though they had been affectionate with each other already, Casimir was still surprised to hear Logain admit this. "Even though I'm a mortal?"

"Yes. I am still wary because you're human and the crown prince of Ambria. I am scared of what will happen in the future, but I am trying to look past that and give you a chance. I don't want to miss this opportunity," Logain confessed.

It was hard to resist the urge to kiss him right then and there. If they were alone, Casimir wouldn't hold back. He wanted to show the warlock how he made him feel at that moment, so Casimir wasted no time taking Logain's hand. The warlock wasn't ready for it when the prince pulled him through the market. He was taking him back to the tavern they were staying at until tomorrow.

Casimir wouldn't push any boundaries, but he wanted Logain. He would make Logain fall in love with him.
