(March 9, 2022 - March 10, 2022) Present Day

"Tyler, I have the biggest headache. Can you please, bring me something for it," Y/N asked, shuffling towards her office.

"Long night?" he asked right before she opened the big oak door.

"An emotional night," she admitted, running her hand over her red, puffy face.

The woman sighed rather loudly, walking into her barely lit office, closing the door behind her. She threw her purse on a nearby chair, walking across the room to her desk. A gasp fell from her lips when her chair slowly turned, revealing Sebastian.

"Fuck, you scared the crap out of me," Y/N yelled, placing her hand over her chest, trying to calm down. A smirk played on his lips as she placed her hands on her hips. "What are you doing here?" she questioned, watching him slowly rise to his feet.

"I wanted to see you. I didn't like how you just hung up on me last night," he expressed, strutting towards her, eyes never leaving hers.

"Sebastian, I'm sorry, but you knew this was the way things were going to be when I left your house that morning. I am married to a man that trusts me," she pointed out, walking past him.

He grabbed her arm, turning her to face him. "I thought it would be easy to get over you, but these last two weeks have been hell for me." He reached up, running a finger over her cheek. "I can see that it's been hell for you, too."

"Sebastian," she pleaded with him. "We both need to move on from what we had. I care about you and everything, but..."

"Don't say anything, please. I don't want to hear that you don't love me, or you don't care about me, or even that you rather be with Zac. I really need you to know that I want you to reconsider being with me. I love you so fucking much," he confessed, taking her face in his hands, thumbs brushing her cheeks. "I've never felt this way with anyone ever in my life. I never thought I would be in this situation. Here I am, begging for you to take me back."

Y/N reached up, placing her hands on his wrists, Tears stinging the corner of her eyes, looking up at the man pleading for her to be with him. "I do love you, baby. I know that I will never stop loving you, but I can't be with you. It's not that I don't want to, because I do, it's just..." she trailed off, gazing down at her feet.

"Please, Doll," he begged, making her look at him, his own set of tears forming.

Y/N shook her head, pulling his hands from her face. "I can't," she whispered, dropping his hands. "I'm sorry."

Sebastian just gazed down at the broken woman in front of him. He knew in part this was his fault for falling in love with her, for letting his feelings from six years ago cripple him into entering a relationship with someone already taken.

"I should go. I shouldn't be here," the actor said, running his tongue over his upper lip. "I was wrong for even thinking that you chose me. I am being extremely selfish. I'm sorry."

It was Y/N's turn to take Sebastian's wrist when he walked by her. "Please, don't regret the time that we have spent together because I don't."

"I don't regret anything with you. I just hate that this is how it's ending," Sebastian expressed, leaning down, pressing a chaste kiss on the young woman's cheek. "I love you, Pretty Girl."

A single tear fell down Y/N's cheek feeling his lips press against her skin, his words piercing her heart. "I love you too," she whispered when he pulled away. Her eyes followed him as he walked out of her office.

Sebastian walked out of Y/N's office and the next day ended up on E!News, paired with a very young, pretty actress from Spain. It tore Y/N's heart in two when the news found her that morning while eating breakfast at her desk. She questioned every word that Sebastian spoke to her twenty-four hours ago. She knew that she hurt Sebastian, but she didn't think that he was this cruel.

"TYLER!" she called, turning off her television, waiting for the man to appear.

"Hey, what's up?" he questioned, bolting through the door.

"Check for me how much truth there is to Sebastian and his new girlfriend," she requested, watching Tyler's eyebrows knitted together. "Just do it, please."

Y/N knew that her request was absurd, but she also knew that Tyler would do anything for her. The man nodded before walking out of the office without a word. She leaned back in her chair, replaying Sebastian's words from yesterday, which only caused her to start crying once again. She didn't understand how she wasn't dehydrated yet with all the tears she had shed the past couple days.

Y/N took a deep breath, trying to control her emotions. If Sebastian was truly with this woman, she had no right to be mad. He was just doing what she wanted him to do.

A ping from her phone pulled her from her thoughts.

Tyler to Y/N: It's legit info. He is with her.

Y/N stared down at her phone, trying to decide what she was going to do next. She placed the phone on the desk, leaning in her chair. Did she want to say anything to the man, who confessed to loving her yesterday? Did it matter, because she chose Zac and didn't have a right to be upset?

Biting her lip, Y/N picked up the phone, clicking on Sebastian's contact. She stared at the screen for a while before starting to type.

Y/N to Sebastian: Congratulations on the new relationship. I'm happy for you.

The second she pressed send, she knew it sounded petty. Maybe she wanted to appear a little petty; make Sebastian feel a tiny bit guilty for saying those words to her, then going public with a new relationship the next day.

She watched as the text went from Delivered to Read. She watched him begin to type something, but then the bubbles disappeared. They appeared once more before his name showed on her screen, requesting to FaceTime with her. She struggled internally before she answered the phone.

"Hi," she mumbled, nibbling on her lip.

"You really happy for me?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I have to be," Y/N answered smugly.

"You wanted this," Sebastian reminded her.

Y/N shook her head. "I want you happy."

"Do you?" he questioned, shaking his head.

"Of course I want you happy," she responded. "I'm not a liar, like some people."

"Y/N!" he protested.

"No, I get it. Go be with your girlfriend," she responded, hanging up the phone.

She silenced her phone, knowing he would try to call her back. She was done with the man. As much as she loved him, Y/N needed to focus on her marriage and her family. She needed to do exactly what she told Sebastian she was going to do, even if it broke her every single day.
