Chapter 25

Hearing mommy echo in her ears caused Y/N to nearly cry. She hadn't spent time with the rest of her kids since Josh's accident. There were quick visits when she dropped off milk for the twins. Olive and Emersyn cried the second they saw their mother. She picked up her girls, finding them both pulling at her shirt. She laughed, turning towards the others.

"Let mommy feed your sisters, then I'll come to play with you guys," Y/N stated, walking towards the nursery Starla had for the girls.

Y/N took her time feeding the twins. She watched them looking up at her through their long eyelashes, smiling each time she smiled at them. Tears stung the corner of her eyes, realizing just how much she missed these moments with her daughters.

"Mommy missed both of you so much," she whispered, each placing a hand on her face.

It felt good to hold her babies in her arms, watching them drift off to sleep. The little noises they made while sleeping relaxed Y/N as she rocked their small bodies. Stress seeped out of her body the more time she spent with her daughters. She allowed herself to enjoy their little snores before placing them in their cribs, fixing her clothes.

Y/N to Seb: I missed these beauties. (Sends photo of twins sleeping)

Y/N smiled down at Olive and Emersyn before quietly leaving the room. The moment the door clicked shut, her phone chimed.

Seb to Y/N: Gorgeous like their mommy.

Y/N to Seb: Sweet talker

Seb to Y/N: Just for you.

Y/N to Seb: XOXO

Seb to Y/N: Enjoy the rest of your day, Doll. XOXO

Y/N to Seb: You too, baby. <3

Y/N moved away from the nursery, finding Rae(12), Beth(11), and Noah(5) in the playroom. The girls were helping their brother build one of his new Lego creations.

"Hey, babies," she said from the doorway.

"Mommy," Noah shouted, running towards her.

"Shhh," she said, lifting her son. "The babies are sleeping," she added, placing her finger over her lips.

Noah automatically buried his face into Y/N's neck as she entered the room.

"Are you girls being good for grandma and helping her when she needs it?" Y/N asked, sitting on the floor with her daughters.

"Yes, mama," Beth answered, drawing herself close to her mother, Y/N wrapping an arm around the young girl.

Y/N snuggled her close, gesturing for her daughter to join them. The older girl smiled, draping her arms over her mother's shoulder from behind.

"I missed all of you so much," she whispered, trying to hug them all at the same time.

"Can we sleep at home tonight?" Rae asked, holding onto her mother.

"I don't think that will be possible for a while," she answered, gazing up at her daughter. "But I'll talk to daddy and try to figure something out."

"Is daddy coming to see us today?" Noah asked, peering up at his mother.

"I don't know, but I'm here. We can do whatever you want," Y/N replied.

"Can we cuddle on the couch and watch a movie?" Beth asked, excitement lightening up on all their faces.

"Yes. You pick the movie, and I'll get some popcorn," Y/N instructed, helping them all to their feet.

She watched them all scatter to grab blankets and pillows, pilling them onto the huge couch.
