Open Marriage (ON HOLD)

Chapter 10

(Thursday, June 3, 2021)

"Please welcome to the show...Zac Efron," James Corden exclaimed, the audience erupted with excitement.

Zac appeared from behind the curtain, dressed in gray slack and jacket, hugging his body perfectly. A white dress shirt was underneath the jacket, with the top three buttons opened, revealing his newly tanned skin.

James greeted the actor with a hug, exchanging a few words, before offering Zac a seat on the couch.

"Welcome to the show, man," the host expressed, the audience still going nuts for Zac.

"Thanks for having me back, dude," Zac smiled, gazing out at the cheering audience, sending a couple winks.

"Okay, calm down," James insisted to the audience. "I know you're excited to be here, but come on, you should be cheering for the man on the couch," he joked, turning to Zac. "So, how is it going?"

"It's been going good. I just got back from vacation with the kids in Australia. We did some surfing, saw some amazing animals, spent time with my mom and Dylan. It was amazing," he explained, a smile plastered on his face the entire time he spoke.

"You've been spending a lot of time in Australia," James pointed out.

"It's quiet there," Zac laughed. "My kids aren't attacked by paparazzi over there. It's a good place for my family."

"I can understand that. Keeping your family out of the public eye is hard when you live in LA," the host responded.

"Well, it is one of the main reasons I purchased a home over there," Zac added.

"That's right. It was reported recently that you bought a house in the land down under," James chuckled.

"Seems my name has been in the news a lot recently," Zac laughed, looking at the audience with a smile.

"That it has," James agreed, looking down at the cards in his hand. "So let's talk about one of those recent headlines. Your open marriage with your wife, Y/N Efron, and the photo that surfaced earlier this week of her in LA with Sebastian Stan."

"Right to the point, James," Zac laughed, adjusting his entire body. "My marriage to Y/N and its status of being open is between us. People can speculate all they want on why we came to this arrangement. All anyone needs to know is that the two of us talked a lot about it before making any decisions," Zac explained, eyes darting back and forth between James and the camera. "As for my wife and Sebastian...Y/N called me, explaining that she was going on a dinner date with him. She isn't going behind my back. There is a clear line of communication."

The audience clapped at Zac's transparency and honesty.

"So, how is the wife?" James asked, letting go of any further discussion of Zac's personal life.

"She is good. She is probably at home right now with the kids, and I'll be able to go home to them all later this evening," he replied, winking at the camera.

"All six kids," James laughed, nudging the actor.

"That's right. The last time I was here, we only had four little humans and now we have six," Zac announced, causing the audience to cheer for the man.

"That's right, you had twin girls," James commented.

"Olive and Emersyn," Zac said, his smile growing at the mention of his daughters.

"How has that been for you?"

"I mean, those girls have me wrapped around their little fingers, and it's so easy cause they look so much like their mother," Zac pointed out, blushing.
