"You will apologize to your grandmother when she comes to visit you today," Y/N demanded of her son in the early morning.

"Yes, ma'am," Josh mumbled.

"And also to Ryan and Reese," Y/N added, placing a bag of Josh's belongings on the bed.

"What? Why? Deacon..."

"Because I said you will. I don't care whether Deacon's parents know what happened or not, you will tell them you are sorry," she insisted, plugging in his phone.

"I'm sorry, mom," Josh whispered.

Y/N gazed up at her son. She studied him for a second, leaning forward, placing a kiss on his forehead.

"I'm sorry you thought you had to do something dangerous or break the law to get my attention. You'll always be number one, okay? No one will ever come before you. I promise you that," she said, taking his good hand.

"I know, mom," he whispered. "I know you and dad love me. I hate that Halston and Mr. Stand have to be a part of this."

"I know it complicates things, but remember that your day and I love you and each other," she assured the teenager.

The door opened, Starla Efron sternly gazing at her grandson. She walked to him, shaking her head.

"Do you know how worried I was about you last night?" the older woman asked Josh, taking his face in her hands.

"I'm sorry, Nona," the young man spoke, eyes adverting from his grandmother's.

"Your parents raised you better than this," she pointed out.

"I need to go talk to Reese and run errands. I'll be back later afternoon," she explained to her son. "Starla, you got our boy?"

"Yes, baby," the woman assured Y/N.

Y/N smiled, "Listen to the staff and Nona."

"Yes, mama," Josh mumbled, hugging his mother.

"I love you," she whispered, kissing her son's cheek.

"I love you too, mama," he said back.

Y/N hugged her mother-in-law before leaving the duo alone. Sending a quick text to Zac, telling him Starla was with Josh, she left the hospital. Reporters, cameras, and paparazzi greeted her as she exited the building. She pushed her way through the people and the many questions they threw at her.
