A/N:  I need to apologize for my absence.  I have been dealing a lot of sickness in my home.  I think I got some things under control, so it's back to posting.  I have been writing when I have down time so hopefully I can post more than once a day.  We will see.  Thanks for all the reads, hope to hear what many of you think.  Thanks.   P.S:  Short Chapter, but I needed a filler before Sunday's Events.  Chris' birthday is going to be amazing.  Love you all!

Y/N spent the rest of her afternoon with Josh while trying to communicate with Sebastian. Calls were being directed straight to voicemail, and messages were now pending. She knew that the pictures were a shock and Sebastian needed time, but she felt like with every passing hour, things were getting ridiculous. She decided to leave one last message before focusing her sole attention on her son.

"Sebastian..." the woman breathed into her phone. "I know you are probably upset and hurt. I can't even begin to imagine how you are dealing with this. I need you to please call me or even text, so I know that you are okay. Josh has surgery tomorrow, so hearing that you are at least alive will leave me worrying about one less person." She paused for a few seconds before continuing to speak. "I look forward to seeing you Sunday on our golf date. Don't forget the bourbon," she chuckled, trying not to let her emotions get the best of her. "I miss you," she added quickly, hanging up the phone.

Y/N sighed, turning towards her son, offering a smile. She kept her focus on him, leaving Sebastian and all the worries that went with him buried. She spent her Friday night curled up in the hospital chair, waking up a few times in the middle of the night to her son screaming in pain.

Early Saturday morning, the young woman did her best to hold back tears while the nurses wheeled her son away to surgery. She stayed behind in Josh's room, holding his pillow close, thinking about all that he was currently going through. She thought back to when Josh got his first set of stitches falling off his bike. Y/N did everything to protect her son from harm, but he had always been her fearless little boy. He enjoyed the outdoor, extreme sports, and hanging out with his adventurous Uncle Dylan.

"Lynny," Chris whispered, standing in the doorway of the hospital room. "He is going to be fine."

Y/N smiled, "They sent you to help me get me out of my head."

"Rachel is a mess, and Zac is afraid he'd make you cry more," Chris responded, kneeling in front of her.

"I should have known something like this would eventually happen. That boy has been a daredevil since the moment he could walk," she explained, wiping tears from her cheeks.

Chris smiled, patting her knees. "And we all know, this isn't going to slow him down one bit."

"I know," she breathed, leaning back into the chair.

"Remember, you aren't alone in all this. You have us to lean on; all you need to do is ask, sweetie," he reminded her.

"Thank you, Chris. I know you've been trying your very best to fill my shoes this past week. I don't know if I can thank you enough for all that you and Rachel have done," Y/N commented, placing a hand over one of his.

"You don't have to thank me. I would do anything for you and Rachel. You're my family. All of you are," Chris assured the woman.

Y/N smiled, leaning forward, hugging the man that had always been there for her since the moment they met. He understood that being with Rachel included Y/N. It was one of the reasons Chris was so special.

"Let's get some food. By the time we get back here, Josh should be out of surgery," Chris said, helping the woman to her feet.

She allowed him to escort her to the waiting room. Rachel and Zac embraced her immediately. The little group spent the rest of their morning in the cafeteria, sharing stories about the young boy. It wasn't long before the surgeon came looking for Zac and Tanya, escorting them back to Josh's room.

Josh's surgery went well, with weeks of physical therapy set for the future. He needed to remain in the hospital for a few more days before being allowed home to his mother's care. Y/N spent the rest of the day and night by her son's side. Her Sunday consisted of her golf date with Sebastian, Rachel and Chris, and Chris' birthday party later that evening.
