Good News? Pt 2

Pallavi was laying on her bed waiting for Raghav to come back from the store. She started thinking  "if I were to be pregnant would I be a good mum. Is it too early for us to become parents. What if I make a mistake. What if Raghav's feelings change towards me."

All these thoughts were flying through her mind when she saw her husband standing in front of her with a whole bag of pregnancy tests.
"Raghav you really bought as many as you found huh." She chuckled, brushing her previous thoughts away.

"Of course Palls Baby, Raghav Rao doesn't lie. Now go and take the test. I wanna know noww." He whinged like a child.

Chuckling at his behaviour, Pallavi grabbed three tests and headed to the bathroom. As soon as she came out Raghav wanted to know the results.

"  Babe, we have to wait a few minutes until we find out." Said Pallavi.

"That's so dumb. We've waited long enough, the tests should tell the results immediately." He huffed.

Pallavi brushed passed Raghav and sat on their bed. The negative thoughts flushed through her mind again.
Raghav noticed his wife's change of mood. He knew what was going on in her mind. As soon as he saw a tear leave her beautiful eyes he rushed over to her, cupping her face gently.

"Hey hey, no need to cry sweetheart. I wouldn't get upset if you're not pregnant Pallavi. If you are pregnant then that's great too. If you don't want to keep the baby, then that's fine too. Just know I will be there to support you every step of the way."

Pallavi looked up into his eyes and was about to say something when he spoke again.
"  I know what you're going to say. Pallavi, you will be the world's best mother. Don't ever doubt that you won't be enough for our child. You have the world's biggest heart. Our child will be the luckiest to have you as their mother." He said lovingly whilst caressing her cheeks.

She snuggled her face into the crook of his neck and mumbled.
" but what if you don't think I'm beautiful anymore. Because Raghav, I will put on weight. And what if you don't love me anymore cause of all the mood swings I have."

He chuckled her.

She pulled back glaring at him and said " you think this is funny? Wow Raghav." She said upset.

"Areh Pallavi, I'm laughing because you think any of that would happen. I don't care if you put on weight or if you're missing a limb. You would still be the most beautiful woman in the world for me. I don't care if your mood swings will be absolutely insane. It wouldn't make me love you less. In fact I would love you more than I do now. I love you for you sweetheart, nothing in the world would change that." He said sweetly as his moved forward to place a kiss on her forehead.

She looked up at her husband in awe. "Thank you for always knowing what's on my mind and for always clearing up the doubts I have. I must've done something really good in my life to get a husband like you."

"Sweetheart, that's where you're wrong. I'm the one who has been blessed to have you as my wife." Raghav Rao is nothing without his Pallavi."

She kissed him on his cheek and said,
" So Mr Raghav Rao, are you ready to see what our future holds?"

"After you Madam." He said as Pallavi held his hand and went in the bathroom to look at the test results.

Pallavi looked at Raghav nervously before picking up the first test.
It read: positive.

Raghav's grip on her hand tightened.

Raghav went ahead and read the results of the second test. Positive
Their hearts beating faster as both of them read the results of the third test together, it read positive.

" oh my god!!!" Pallavi screamed in shock. But the good kind of shock.
She turned around to look at Raghav.
He was frozen. She stood in front of him shaking him. Suddenly he picked her up and spun her around.
"We're going to be parents. I'm going to be a father Pallavi. A father! I can't believe it. Thank you, thank you, thank you, for giving me the best gift ever!" He screamed as he once again smothered her in kisses.

Pallavi giggled. At that moment she knew, that there is no one else in the world she'd do this with. She knew she was going to raise a child with the right person. The person who makes her be the best possible version of herself, her husband.

Raghav put her down slowly, hugging her tightly. She pulled back, her hands on his chest.
"So Raghav, tumhe chota sa Raghav ya Choti si Pallavi chahiye?" She said whilst slightly blushing at the fact that this is actually happening.

" Saree Ka Dukaan, I wouldn't mind either but since I already have my queen, I would love to have a princess." He said grinning widely.

" Cute but then she'll be a daddy's girl. Not fair. I think I want a chota Raghav. At least then he'll be a mummy's boy." She said giggling.

" I wouldn't blame him, I already follow you around like a puppy, he can join too. As long as I get more attention.'' He said whilst pouting.

" sorry my love, all my attention will be given to our child."

" I'm already Jealous." He said, pretending to be hurt.

Pallavi laughed at his behaviour and pulled him into a kiss. Both parted away and said "we're going to be parents." As they rested their foreheads together.
